#Cant play multiplayer

I cant play any multiplayer games with my friends or in general. Whenever I try and join an online game, it gives me the "timed out" screen. I have tried everything to fix it; I've closed and launched the game again 100 times, shut off my pc and tried again, unplugged my router and waited for a while. I even reinstalled the game hoping that would fix it but no. If my friend tries to join me, it either says the multiplayer is full when its only me, or he just sits in the loading screen until the timed out message pops up. This only started today after the new update, I've never had this issue prior. Please help me fix this

same here! same exact issue, and I was playing other multiplayer games just fine not half an hour ago

@wide pumice host just changed to a public lobby with limited spaces and it allowed me to join :)
