In my opinion:

  • The idea of the model is very good, but I would prefer the old model but instead of putting map icons, put points like in the new model, my opinion, the world map would look cleaner and larger, not as small as in the new model and so you wouldn't have to search through a list of maps.
  • For example, you select the location where you want to hunt. If you want to go hunting in Nepal, you click on the location in Nepal and the map of Sundarpatan appears to select it. I think that would be much better.

This is the concept of my idea:

the world map looks so small, it should be bigger. and also it would be nice if when you hower over one dot the dot becomes the reserev logo, but we dont saw it function as of now so it my be already implemented

Some potential reserve settings that I think work based on this new map part 1: Western Hemisphere

North America
• Canadian Arctic
• Home to animals like Polar Bear, Walrus, Muskox, Dall’s Sheep, Grizzly Bear and vast herds of Caribou
• Big Game focused
• British Columbia
• Big Game focus with animals like Stone’s Sheep, Sitka Deer, Mountain Caribou and Grizzly Bear
• Greenland
• Has some big game like polar bear, reindeer and muskox
• Very bird focused with eiders, auks, pink-footed and barnacle goose
• Midwestern/Great Plains Map that focuses on Upland Game like grouse, prairie chicken and partridge and Small Game like Badger, Prairie Dog and more
• Could be set in states like Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana or Nebraska
• California map for Tule Elk
• Southern Mexico with Ocellated Turkey, Brocket Deer and other smaller animals
• The Guiana Region aka Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana
• Peruvian Andes with Andean White-tails, Feral Sheep and High-altitude waterfowl hunting
• Northern Argentina Waterfowl and Upland map that has some big game and small game

Some potential reserve settings that I think could work based on this new map part 2: Eastern Hemisphere

Africa
• Africa 2.0 could either be set in South Africa or Tanzania at this point
• A Namibian Plains Game focused Reserve
• A South African Map that focuses on small antelope like duikers, small game and birds
• Ethiopia
• Central Africa with animals like Bongo and Giant Forest Hog
• Morocco
• West African Plains Game map

Asia
• Pakistan: Markhor central
• Japan: Lots of Sika Deer here
• Mongolia: Giant Argali and Steppe Plains
• Caucasus Mountains (could count as European)
• Borneo/Malaysia (yes there is some big game hunting that takes place there for animals like bearded pig, water buffalo and saltwater crocodiles)

Australia has room for 2 more maps at least

Europe could have
• The United Kingdom: Muntjacs, Water Deer, Upland Game and other smaller animals
• Eastern Europe/the Balkans
• A Scandinavian map that includes animals and birds not featured on Revontouli

#

Would be realistic to include all of that though

Not really, would be cool though

I'd have Africa 2.0 in SA for rhinos

haughty widget
# kindred maple I'd have Africa 2.0 in SA for rhinos

Part of the reason I did mention Tanzania is partially because of the Tigers on Sundarpatan, if that happened, black rhinos on a Tanzanian Africa 2.0 would work, but at the same time South Africa allows all 7 members of the dangerous 7 to be hunted alongside animals like giraffe, hyena and greater kudu irl

I want Namibia, Tanzania and Cameroon for future Africa maps.

  • Tanzania < Africa 3.0 > - 14 Species

    • African Bush Elephant ( class 10 ) - New
    • Common Hippo ( class 10 ) - New
    • Lion ( class 9 )
    • Cape Buffalo ( class 9 )
    • Plains Zebra ( class 7 ) - New
    • Common Eland ( class 8 ) - New
    • Waterbuck ( class 7 ) - New

So I took this map and put a Google maps screenshot over it.
By EW's posting of it on the map, we can surely say, EW doesn't not know how the lower Zambezi delta looks

Personally my perfect Africa map for Cotw would be an antelope plains game heavy map based on the Musina area of South Africa. It's basically the furthest North area of South Africa and it's mostly Mopane scrub/veld.

As impossible as it is to only choose 19 species these are what I have.

C1
Helmeted Guineafowl (N)
Crested Francolin (N)

C2
Common Duiker (N)
Black backed Jackal (N)

C3
Southern Bushbuck (N)

C4
Southern Impala (N)
Southern Reedbuck (N)
Warthog (Complete remaster)

C5
Tsessebe (N)
Nyala (N)
Burchelles Zebra (N)

C6
Blue Wildebeest (Complete remaster & less on thr map)
Gemsbok (Complete remaster & limited number on thr map)
Waterbuck (N)
Roan (N)
Sable (N)
Greater Kudu (N)

C7

C8
Livingstons Eland (N)
African Leopard (N)

C9
Cape Buffalo (Complete remaster and less on the map)

Now that's a typical bushveld safari roster that excludes some of the less common stuff, though if I could I'd still add Giraffe, Bushpig, Brown Hyean, spotted Hyena and a bunch of the small antelope
