10GA still underperforming (or birds are immortal)

i just went back to the 10GA shotguns after i was told they had been fixed but though better they still do not compare to the 12GA.
i have been hunting salwiesen park but i noticed every time i used the 10GA the birds (mainly pheasants and grouses) take a full hit from the 10GA 2+ pellets min and keep flying (or drop to the floor then fly off a few seconds later) the 12GA drops them much faster with 2 pellets and instantly with 3+.
