So if im.understanding this right,the snow deformation can only be seen for players with a pc? Will this not be a feature on console?

I don't understand, I still use an Xbox One and I can play games like Ark Ascended or other recent games with very advanced and recent mechanics without any problems. It's easy to say that yeah, they're old consoles and therefore obviously since they're old they can't support it. Maybe other people's consoles, but personally mine could support this. I just learned that I'll always have, if I understand correctly, the snow as it is now.

That’s understandable. Do you want your PS4 to explode? They already struggle to run the game super well. They’re 10+ year old consoles, I wouldn’t expect them to be able to handle the same stuff as a newer gen console like PS5.

Even in the PC space we have to continuously upgrade hardware. The only difference is with a PC it's more flexible and open to do those upgrades .... However it's becoming more difficult to do so ....

I don't know about the PS4 but in any case on xbox one Starfield for example every time an update comes out, I can't install it on xbox one because it's a game from the latest xbox, but on xbox game pass you have a new project which is the cloud where you can play games without downloading them and thanks to that I can play games that normally can only be played on the latest xbox from where I can play Starfield and ark ascended. But when these 2 games do updates, my xbox has no problems. At the beginning like every start of update it lags a little but after I play generally as if I had downloaded the game. I don't know if it's the same case as said above in this message for the PS4 but the xbox one it works without any problem.

Our tech is to big 🤣🤣 this is a 2017 game engine they just do not want to work on it, but the old gen console are old now so they just add it on new gen so I understand that.

Ye i guess its just because of old game engine as you say. At some point they have to stop focusing on older generation consoles anyway.

They said that their tech is to heavy for 8 gen console that's is a lie... they just don't want to work to much for old gen but like you said and like I said old gen make their time, they need to be focus on ps5 Xbox series now... I totally agree with that

So basically, people who are still on old consoles like me, we deserve no respect and goodbye to future improvements all that because our consoles have had their day. For me something that has had its day is until it could never work again. Except it still works.

Consoles have moved on from the Gen 8 to Gen 9. You can’t expect to have everything new that comes to gaming. COTW tries its best, but it can’t always accommodate seeing as it’s constantly upgrading. Would you expect GTA 6 to drop on PS4, even though the PS4 will be 14 years old by then?

GTA6, doesn't interest me so I'm not too much of this. Yes when I say laziness it's not really the word that best describes it but when some sorts, it's a bit of a shame, certainly their graphics engine evolves but it remains a graphics engine from the 2010s. While GTA6 I suppose that it will be the most recent graphics, I don't know. While when I said in the old messages, for real the most recent graphics engines work on xbox one because despite it being an old console like this game it makes updates to evolve. I'm happy that evolves and improves the graphics of the game little by little but the fact of probably not having and ending up with the same snow as medved would be a bit sad. Afterwards I may have misunderstood. Is it all the new snow mechanisms that the old consoles won't have or only the mechanism that shows the snow marks when you walk on deeper snow than usual?

after yes the word leziness is a big word but I wouldn't really describe it, because it's not ignorance or I don't know. so if this hurt someone I apologize. but it's just a shame so to show me all these new mechanisms to know that without a doubt I will have none of it.

I'm on ps4 but I don't see the situation like this because EW still put dlc on ps4 and they will do it next year too probably so it's good for us, but the ps4 is 10+ years old now so it's time to move on new gen, I was on ps3 before and I knew the time when playstation put off the online and other thing i know it's sad but that's the way it is

The Ps5 made a bad start with the covid period and the stock rupture she's already 5 years old and SONY will release a new console in less then 5 years now, I don't know what's Expensive world will do but there is 2 ways, they need to remaster the hunter call of the wild for next gen console, or The hunter call of the wild 2

I understand but in itself, they are moving towards the new gen but on the other hand they can continue to work at the level of the old gen. You can improve the new gen at the same time as the old ones. If I am able to play without difficulty the latest games with very recent graphics and mechanisms like starfield or ark ascended I am therefore necessarily able to play a game whose graphics date from 2017 but which evolves over time. I do not know in terms of strength is their mechanism but if I am able to play a game at the cutting edge of technology with engine 5.2 like ark ascended without any problem then obviously I can play with the improvements of this game. After I do not know if it is all the new mechanism of the snow that I will not have or just a part. But in any case yes it is sad and a shame, but good for me the xbox one is capable, it is capable. It hasn't had its day yet, even if 10 years isn't bad, but it still works thanks to the updates they do regularly.

you can both upgrade for the new gen, which will also improve the old gen, I feel that some people are probably starting to get fed up with me who keeps repeating but the old generations are not a hindrance to the new one. They are capable of playing recent games as well as the new ones so for me an xbox series and a one is the same thing. Certainly the xbox series undoubtedly has new features but it hides nothing from the old one which is capable of supporting and this without too much difficulty the most recent styles of games. But we always come out with this excuse of them being old etc.. . But for me they will have done their time once they no longer work for eternity.

Working on old gen cost money, and old gen have less and less players every mounth, years so one day they will stop

I don't know how many players ps4 still have but next year with gta 6 wich will make people move on new gen there will be not much people on old gen and wich means less money income so every new games will be on next gen and so for dlc

I probably noticed that the Xbox One is outselling the new Xboxes, so it's still popular, and that's from February 2025. After that, yes, I understand what you mean.

Developers need to cut ps4 and XB one out of the picture. Game can be much more if they stop developing for those consoles.
