Welcome to the Drakensberg Mountains, a breathtaking highland wilderness tucked along the border of KwaZulu-Natal. Rising sharply from lush savannah into snow-dusted peaks, this new reserve blends the raw beauty of alpine cliffs, winding river valleys, and montane grasslands. For the second time in Call of the Wild, players will experience seasonal snowfall, transforming the rugged terrain into a challenging but stunning hunting ground. Wildlife here is as diverse as the landscape itself—ranging from nimble klipspringers scaling rocky slopes to herds of cape buffalo thundering across the plains. The region boasts multiple huntable species, with many brand-new additions including elusive blue duikers, graceful nyala, stealthy caracals, and even Egyptian geese flying low over crystal lakes. With predator-prey dynamics at play and unpredictable weather, Drakensberg promises an unforgettable and immersive African hunting experience like no other.

i like this suggestion but i feel like 29 species is a lot considering most of the maps have no more then 20 (i think?)
and IMO i’ve never been a huge fan of having things like giraffes, hippos elephants etc in the game, thats just my personal opinion but great suggestion for sure

My first pick would be a Mauser Model 1893/95 in 7×57. It's got a long history in South Africa with the Boere that would use it to hunt anywhere, including the drakensberg, very effectively.

My second pick is the Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.ii
SA has a long history with the Enfield as well because we were under British rule for a while and alot of farmers did/do use it and call it "die ou drie nil drie" (the old .303)

You could hunt Jackal fairly well with it but Karamojo Bell famously used it to hunt elephant

It'd probably end up a 3-7 though knowing EW
