#More Backfilling!

As we all know, some of the maps we currently have in COTW are slightly lackluster, mostly because of lack of species. In my opinion, we need more backfilled animals in the game. With the upcoming release of Askiy Ridge (Alberta), some new species will be on the map, providing more species for backfilling. On that note, here's my list and reasons for backfilled animals.

Layton Lakes District ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ -

Bighorn Sheep
Mountain Goat
North American Beaver (NEW)
Gray Fox
Common Raccoon
Green-Wing Teal
Gadwall
Snow Goose (NEW)
Canada Goose
Bobcat (low population)

Reasoning - As we all know, Layton has two large mountains, Mount Leviathan and Mount Kraken, both of which are accessible by the player. Having mountain goats on a second map besides Silver Ridge Peaks (Colorado). It would also be nice if the drink times for Mountain Goat could be readded, as in my opinion, they were much more fun to hunt when they had drink zones. Bighorn have been wanted by the majority of the community since their release. North American Beaver are a common species in the Pacific Northwest United States. And finally, the Gray Fox would introduce more small game animals to the map and would also give us another canine species.

Hirschfeldon ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช -

Iberian Mouflon
European Hare
Common Raccoon
Western Capercallie (low population)
Chamois

Reasoning - The Iberian Mouflon are in desperate need of a remodel. And in my opinion, this would not come from them being on a single map. With the addition of Mouflon on Hirsch, then we may get the remodel we all know that they need. The Euro Hare is also a very common species in Germany, making them a very good species to add to the map. They are also only on one map and are also in desperate need of a remodel.

Medved Taiga ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ -

Mountain Hare
Tundra Bean Goose

Reasoning - Medved is in need of small game animals, only have one class 1 animal; the Western Capercallie. By introducing the Bean Goose and Mountain Hare, we would get the small game the map desperately needs.

Vourhanga Savannah ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ -

Ferruginous Duck

Reasoning - The map already had one duck species; the Eurasion Wigeon. However, it is not native to the region. The Eurasion Teal migrates there. The same goes for the Ferruginous Duck.

Parque Fernando ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท -

Iberian Mouflon
Fallow Deer

Reasoning - Once again, by adding Mouflon to another map, chances are they will get a remodel. Also, Mouflon are an invasive species in Argentina and are starting to become very popular animals to hunt for trophies.

Yukon Valley ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ -

Roosevelt Elk
Willow Ptarmigan
Black Bear
Blacktail Deer (Sitka Blacktail)
Wood Bison (???)

Reasoning - Yukon is one of the many maps that desperately need more animals, and by adding these four, that could somewhat fix it. The black bear is a common species in Alaska. Also, Blacktail Deer are one of the most popular animals in all of Alaska. They would also finally have a second map to be on. Same goes for Roosevelt Elk. We already have on bison species on the map (Plains Bison), but with the introduction of the Wood Bison in Askiy Ridge, it's VERY small possibility that we could get them in Yukon.

Cuatro Colinas ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ -

Mallard
Chamois

Reasoning - Map really needs a Duck species and or more small game species.

#

Silver Ridge Peaks ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ -

Common Raccoon
Coyote

Reasoning - Like mentioned beforehand, Blacktail are only on one map (Layton Lakes District) and they NEED to be on a second map. Coyote are also very popular in Colorado and could be added as a smaller game species.

Te Awaroa ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ -

Rocky Mountain Elk
Whitetail Deer (?)

Reasoning - Rocky Elk are one of the most popular big game species in New Zealand. They would most likely be renamed to Wapiti for Te Awaroa. (Rocky Elk's local name)

Rancho Del Arroyo ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ -

Mountain Lion
Plains Bison (?)

Reasoning- Mountain Lion (locally known as Cougars) are a once common species in the region, ravaging farmers livestock. They would be very elusive and have the same mechanics as tigers.

Mississippi Acres ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ -

Wood Duck (NEW)
Gadwall

Reasoning- The Wood Duck (being added with Askiy Ridge) NEEDS to be added to Mississippi as it's the state waterfowl and the most common Duck species in the state. Gadwall are also very common in the state during their migration.

Revontuli Coast ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ -

NO BACKFILL

Reasoning - Already has 19 species

New England Mountains ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ -

Gadwall Duck
Rocky Mountain Elk (?)

Reasoning- Gadwall Duck are one of the most common species of waterfowl in the state and need to be added. I'm aware that New England has little numbers left of Rocky Elk as they've been hunted alot. But I still believe they should be added

Emerald Coast Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ -

Water Buffalo

Reasoning- Inhabit the same region as Banteng and are very wanted by the community

Sundarpatan ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ต -

Wild Boar
Sambar
Ring-necked Pheasant

Reasoning - Wild Boar and Sambar are known to be in the country. Also they're in Far Cry 4 so they should definitely be added

Salzwiesen Park ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช -

Sika Deer
Roe Deer

Reasoning - Sika really need a second map to be on and Roe Deer inhabit almost all of Germany.

Askiy Ridge ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ -

North American Beaver
Manitoban Elk
Dusky Grouse
Wood Bison
Snow Goose
Wood Duck
Gray Wolf
North American Moose
Mule Deer
Whitetail Deer
Bighorn Sheep
North American Black Bear
Snowshoe Hare (?)
Pintail (?)
Mountain Goat (?)
Pronghorn (?)
Cougar (?)
Red Fox (?)
Grizzly Bear (?)

Reasoning - As you can tell (I would really hope you would), I included the first 12 species we KNOW we are getting. Then I included 7 more, reaching the 19 species we know will be on the map. I can assume we will get more small game species, hopefully Snowshoe Hare and Pintail. Mountain Goat need another map to be on and need a remodel even more. Pronghorn could also be on the map. Maybe even a remodel with some fluffier fur for Askiy Ridge only. Cougar (Mountain Lion and or Puma) need a remodel and new mechanics (similar to Bengal Tiger's mechanics for stalking and rarity). Blacktail Deer need a remodel and need to be on another map. Maybe even change the name and make them fluffier for this map ONLY (unless added to Yukon, put the fluffies on there too). Finally, Grizzly Bears NEED a remodel more than any other animal in the game. The community clearly wants them on the map and want them remodeled.

Obviously some of this most likely will not happen. And Askiy Ridge isn't even out yet and we don't even have a full species list. I just made assumptions and basic research for what needs to be on the map for the last 7 species. Like always, this list is open for criticism and I would love to hear y'alls opinions on what you thinks should be added and what shouldn't. Like always, if there's anyway EW sees this maybe they'll take it into account.

Blacktail are a Pacific costal species, nowhere near Colorado, so SRP is out (Askiy Ridge as well). They are essentially just a local subspecies of Mule deer. However, putting them in Yukon as Sitka Blacktail sounds great!

Updated Layton Lakes District and Hirschfeldon with more species. Changed Blacktail Deer name in Yukon to Blacktailed Sitka Deer. Let me hear y'alls opinions

The location where medved is set isnโ€™t even on this map because itโ€™s 2000+ miles away from any tiger population thatโ€™s ever existed.

BTW we can tell you directly ripped this from LadyLegend

Update Salzwiesen Park, Silver Ridge Peaks, Ranch Del Arroyo, and Te Awaroa. Removed Siberian Tiger/Bengal Tiger from Medved Taiga.
