Call of the wild data not synced

I just recently got call of the wild on my pc through the Xbox installer I previously played on my console for years and all of my progress is gone and I am not sure how to link these accounts, they are both under the same profile email and everything but it says call of the wild windows 10 is just a new game so I have nothing, should I try purchasing the game again on steam this time and hope that I will have more luck over there or does anyone know a fix
