Now I’m not developer and I’m definitely not good with computers I just like to hunt and like this game. However one thing that my non technical brain thinks would be a somewhat easy tweak would be a blood splatter rework. They have done good with textures and descent with colors but I think they could add hair and particles with more vivid colors and spots that are closer and further apart depending on the hit. the patterns could be dynamic or they could add around 15 different patterns for each splatter stretched in different ways to add more realism. While the blood we have now has gotten us just fine though 8 years but I think this rework could take it to the next step. Way of the hunter has done a good job at it but I know this game can one up them easily. I will include some pictures of various splatters in games (I assume it wouldnt let me put reals ones and don’t want this taken down). If anyone can think of a better name other than tru blood or dynamic blood please let me know.

I really like the idea of improved blood spatter in CotW
I mean, it's a really big part of hunting and tracking after all.
The other thing I hope EW might focus on is re-implmenting the bullet holes on animals that have been shot, because it was a thing years ago but they removed it from the game entirely
The very abstracted blood splatter in HCOTW is certainly not realistic but it's designed more for ease of tracking rather than realism .
It's part of the reason why COTW is referred to as more of an arcadey hunting game. I would be pleasantly surprised if they decided to change it at this late date.
However they have shown that they are willing to make changes if enough of the community gets behind it .... So for that reason I'm in ....

Not too graphic but my gut feeling is the change to make blood splatter more realistic would be significant .... IMHO
It’s probably not high on the priority list but hopefully this post will get some traction like my non typicals post and they will notice and make a small change
Now I'm definitely all in on non typicals .... and if I had my choice between the two I would definitely say non typicals for sure ....

Perhaps, but I have a sneaking suspension it's because they were having issues implementing it. I remember it being a thing for a short while after Parque was released and it wasn't very good. It looked like a badly made image that was slapped onto the animal as a flat .png that would sit above the animals skin.
Still, weird they got it quite down quite alright in classic but not in cotw

You would look not just in pattern rework but also different color tones depending on the Organs hit. Right now the linearity helps to distingish the amount by by Size Only, doing more changes would make it more complex for the novice Player so you'd need a more knowledge based approach to teach the advance Tracking required
Yes this would be perfect I also think if possible little tufts of hair would be really cool by the shot site
In line with the tufts of hair, they should bring back the dust/snow that gets shaken off of an animal after impact. It's really minor but it'd be cool imo

Got a whitetail in Pennsylvania once and we hiked to the gut pile the next day - a black bear had eaten it and spread blood and shite everywhere - looked like a crime scene 😬 🐻

If EW would somehow randomize blood splatter in such a way that it represents specific organ/body hits and bleed rage that'd obviously be first price, but it'd even be cool if they could just let the blood appear on grass instead of under it like you can see in the threads original photos and like WotH does
