The ultimate new animals list (for dlc maps)

I don’t know about you, but I feel like a lot of the older maps could use some new species on them. So I’m making a list of animals that I think would be perfect for every map up to Sundarpaton. For this list I’m sticking to animals that can be hunted IRL and that are generally from the area the map is based on. Now on with the list!

Medved Taiga : Snow Sheep

Vurhonga Savanna : Nile Crocodile, Common Duiker, Cape Eland/Tsessebe/Red Hartebeest (any of those)

Parque Fernando : Pere David Deer

Yukon Valley : Dall sheep, Blue Grouse

Cuatro Colinas : Red Legged Partridge

Silver Ridge Peaks : Canvasback, Prairie Chicken and/or Sage Grouse

Te Awaroa : Pecock (with the addition of Thar I don’t think te Awaroa needs much more, but you can hunt Pecock in New Zealand so I wanted to mention that)

Rancho Del Arroyo : Couse Deer, California Quail

Mississippi Acres : Wood Duck

Revontuli Coast : Grey Seal (can legally be hunted in Finland)

New England Mountains : Woodcock

Emerald Coast : Camel, Pink Eared Duck

And that’s my list of species that could/should be added to the maps

I’d personally take some type of seal over snow sheep. Medved doesn’t really have the terrain for them

Sundarpaton already has two cats
If anything it needs another bird like the Himalayan Snowcock

It could’ve been a cat hunting mecca, like Emerald Coast is for deer.

I mean, the Subcontinent is pretty well known for its cat populations. Among the most competitive region in the world for that specific role.

I request Brumbies for EC. They can be found in a variety of habitats and would fit very well in both the Outback and the Open Woodlands sprinkled around the map.

That said, sundarpatan seems to hold a particularly unusual amount of barasingha and water buffalo.

Ringed Seal is the species I think would fit Medved well as far as seal species go, though Harp Seals could also work, but I also like the idea of Snow Sheep in the more mountainous areas of Medved

is Medved supposed to be along the northern coastline of Siberia? I always thought that the body of water to the north of the map was just meant to be a huge lake, kind of like the one that lies to the east of the map on Hirschfelden.

nevermind, my question was kind of already answered. Either way, it's sort of weird to have a saltwater inlet like that when as far as I can tell, the entire northern coastline of Siberia is a tundra environment, not a taiga like Medved is.

Snow sheep are relatively close to where medved is located. Although not exact, to me it made sense to have snow sheep

Especially with the inclusion (somewhat) of the Nenets, a coastal people.

The snow sheep that live close to where Medved is set are Putorana Snow Sheep, a subspecies that hasn't been hunted since the year 2000 as the city of Norilsk was closed off in 2001 and I'm guessing that was the only city that provided access to where that subspecies lived. The idea I came up with for why they are present is that they were introduced there to provide a huntable population
