The biggest issue with GOs is that 99% of players will never see one without grinding, and GOs are easily some of the best content the game has to offer.

My suggestion is to add a system like the legendries in The Angler:

  1. Keep GO grinding exactly as is for those who love it.
  2. Add one random GO to a weekly rotation.
  3. The same GO and fur variation spawns for all players on the same map that week.
  4. The GO and map is not revealed, the community needs to find it each week, like legendries.

The benefits of this:

  1. Grinding is unchanged for players going after a specific GO.
  2. Weekly GO gives ALL players a chance to HUNT a GO in the wild - without grinding.
  3. The same GO on the same map brings the community together every week.
  4. Opportunity for content creators to put out GO tracking and hunting guides.
  5. It will drive sales of maps players would otherwise not be interested in.
  6. This will keep players engaged with the game on a weekly basis.

The way the Angler has the legendaries is horrible. While this is slightly better, some will still find them everyweek, and with grinding you actually earn the trophy

Grinding is tough and if you want a great one you have to put in the work to get it. I don't want EW to cheapen GO's by just handing them out once a week. If you don't like to grind I get it but there's a reason it's called grinding. It's hard work and takes time and the reward is you have a better chance to get a GO. GO's were never meant to be easy to get.
