Allow me to ask something that I know a lot of people have been thinking about. Why is it that we are allowed to customize our weapons and equipment but only certain parts of them and even then, only with certain materials? The 7mm bolt action is my biggest gripe because I can't put wood on it when I want wood on it. I know its based off of a remington 700 sps with the rubber moldings in the grip area and the outlines of them would be present in the model no matter what the color is, but remington themselves made a wood stocked 700 that had the overmolded grips (see picture) called the woodtech. I believe I heard the devs say something like "It cant have wood because its synthetic stocked" but the 270s can all have wood, the 308 bolt can have wood, and many other weapons that are synthetic by default can be equipped with wood and even compound bows with metal risers can have wood on them (and don't EVER think about changing that). I guess my point here is why limit us on customization? Some of us paid money for the skins and then you tell us we can only put them on certain things. Who gives a crap if it leads to cursed things? You already made some of the most cursed skins I've ever seen so who cares if I decide to make a pair of binos with a wood skin, or a rusted metal tent? Even if we can't customize every part of everything, remove the restriction as to what skin we can use on what part. Just let us customize our stuff the way WE want to customize it.
