i just spotted the mocha moose and i took a picture like it told me to. the moose fled and the mission status says i killed and harvested it.

I'm sorry to hear you encountered trouble with the mocha moose during the mission "Last of Its Kind" in Te Awaroa. I understand it can be confusing.

Please note that the last objective of the mission is a choice between photographing the moose or shooting it. If you took a picture of the moose and it ran away afterward causing the mission to be completed, then the mission worked as intended for the photo option.

There is no in-game feature for resetting missions, so the only way to do it again would be to start a new game which would erase all your progress in the process.
