You can place, replace or remove a waypoint while looking through binoculars. You can also (with a rangefinder binocular) see the range an animal is. These are great features. There is a skill in Ambusher (Sight Spotting) that allows you to spot animals while using a weapon scope.
My suggestion is to add ranges in the weapon scopes. This way if we are waiting for an animal to get within a certain range and we are using (Sight Spotting) we do not have to go back to the binoculars to make sure they are in range. At the very least allow us to place, replace or remove a waypoint while using a weapon scope
