Ew should create a map set in central Asia, Tajikistan and northern Pakistan as inspiration may be even Kyrgyzstan. There would be many biomes but it would mostly be open steppes and mountains, to make sure it's not too open and you can't see too far there could be many elevation changes and some bushes.

Waterfowl

-ruddy shelduck**
-red crested pochard**
-bar headed goose**

Upland gamebirds

-himalayan monal**
-tibetan snowcock***
-pallas sandgrouse *
-chuckar**

Big game
-goittered gazelle**
-long tailed marmot**
-tian-shan wapiti
-blue sheep
-bukharan makhor**
-argali**
-snow leopard
-wild boar (rework)
-eurasian lynx (rework)
-kashmir musk deer**
-siberian ibex**
-bukharan urial

This is the kind of habitat you can expect, argali, snowcock, cuckar, monal, marmot, blue sheep, makhor, ibex and argali. Some variations of it would cover most of the map like halve or 2/3 it would finally give us a mountain focused map. It would also support a small population of snow leopard

#

This more Forrester habitat would be found in some valleys covering a small part of the map. Here you can find lynx, wild boar and kashmir musk deer

#

In these more open steppe landscapes you'd mostly find argali and goittered gazelle but also sandgrouse and chuckar. To account for the lack of trees I'd have this landscape be made with many hills and slight elevation changes so it still feels big, like the desert on rancho

#

The Siberian ibex would only inhabit mountains of this map, around one third of the map in total

#

The kashmir musk deer and Eurasian lynx would live in some forest valleys

#

The Marco Polo argali, the biggest wild sheep in the world would cover almost all of the map except some really steep terrain which would be more inhabited by ibex and makhor and Forrester areas.

#

The makhor would be found in steep montane areas along the southern part of the map

#

The blue sheep wouldn't have any behavioral changes but it would inhabit much more montane habitat, only being found at high elevations on bare mountains

#

The long tailed marmot would be found everywhere on the map but Forrester areas, they would have a similar hiding mechanic to European rabbit

#

The central Asian red deer or maral would be found in steppe areas and possibly woodland valleys, although it looks similar to elk and red deer it is its own species

#

Goittered gazelle would exclusively live in the more "lowland" steppe ecosystems

If it's based on Kyrgyzstan couldn't it have Wapiti? We need more Elk in this game. We have enough Red deer until we get more Elk imo. Maybe add the Asian Red Deer and Wapiti?

I still would rather have Wapiti

Btw the list of potential species is quit long but I made this map to have a realistic number of species, I will post the full potential list sometime as well

This is the bukharan makhor, the subspecies that would be found on a reserve like this

What class would Marco polo argali be? The biggest males reach over 350 kgs (780 pounds) so I think class 6 would be fair or 5.
