The podenco is a dog widely used in Spain. Its ability lies in its ability to freely search for animals. When it finds them, it will begin to bark in the direction of its owner, but the animals may not run to the owner. IT CANNOT HUNT ANY BIRDS.
This type of dog has five subspecies:
Podenco Orito: This type of dog is medium-sized and brown and tan.
Podenco Andaluz: Small in size and red and white.
Podenco Portugues: Medium-sized and with a coarse, tan coat.
Podenco Canario: Short-haired and a large, slender dog.
It usually use for hunting hares, rabbits and wild boars
