• Visual Damage & Bleeding System:
Add a visible bleeding effect when an animal is hit, along with a clear wound mark on the animal’s body (both while it’s alive and after death). This would enhance realism and player immersion during hunts.

• Falconry Mechanic:

Introduce falcons or hawks as a new hunting companion. Players could command the bird to scout or hunt small game (like rabbits or foxes), either through manual control or advanced AI behavior.

• Swimming and Fishing:

Allow players to swim in rivers, lakes, and the sea. Add fishing as a secondary hunting activity, with fishing rods, various bait types, and multiple species of fish. This would open up new environments and gameplay variety.

I think I had an entire list of what fish species could be added on which maps if fishing was added but I can't remember which thread it was, all I remember for sure is that Marlin was not anywhere on the list

I did no more then 6 species for each map and Medved took the longest given the season and the fact that it is likely coastal

I do also remember a really good falconry thread covering how falconry could work in this game

I don’t think they would want to add fishing it would be so much work for each map and they tried fishing already with the angler game but I don’t think it did too well

After what happened with Angler, which I’m still outraged about, I don't think it's a good idea. They would both go down together.

Falconry would be an interesting experience to have in COTW. I have experience with birds of prey.
