Playing Cotw through Steam and it has unfortunately become unplayable due to consist crashing after a few minutes. I have exhausted just about every troubleshooting step with no resolution to the problem.

Follow instructions.
That should help it, but it doesn't take care of the problem. Hit me back and we fan try other commands.

I followed instructions with cleanngr command and within a few minutes had another game crash. this time for a split second it brought up a outer borderline and looked like it was trying to launch nvidia app but never fully loaded and immediately closed on its own.

Download pc manager in the Microsoft store. It's a software from Microsoft to do a deep clean on your pc. There's 5 sections in it that will need to be run.
Also, Nvidia had a update yesterday for it gpu software. Make sure you are currently up to date with Nvidia software. Best place to do this is the new Nvidia app.
Make sure you have all clouds turn off. The only thing u need saving your game is ew software. Once everything is running smoothly, u can turn back steam clouds.

If u are still crashing after all the cleaning of the pc. U have a corrupt save file and the only way to fix it is for ew to track it down. There's nothing else that can be done on this side. U will need to follow there instructions on setting up a ticket so they can go into your game files to fix the problem.
Sorry we couldn't fix it without doing that.
