it would be amazing if we could get split screen for play station and xbox in hunter call of the wild, i play with my friends and brother when they come over but we cant play together on our playstaion because there is no split screen, it would be so so fun to play with friends when they come over

Splitscreen would mean double the rendering and gameplay calculations. Nope... this will never work on the given hardware. The game already has enough fps drops on console (even on the powerful ps5) due to the poor optimization.

what if split screen was an only offline option, so no multiplayer split screen, just on private servers?

It would not work on your hardware. Doing a splitscreen would mean your computer/console would have to calculate two seperate images, surroundings, inputs, noises, etc. It would double the needed calculations. I am quite sure this would not run smooth on any device.
