I attempted to play theHunter: Call of the Wild yesterday (29-03-25). I launched the game without issue, loaded into Te Awaroa National Park, then switched to Medved Taiga National Park where I tried to edit the .223 Docent. While editing my rifles appearance I experienced my first crash, gameplay lasted approximately 5 minutes.
I tried to relaunch the game and experienced another crash after 25 seconds while loading before reaching the main menu. I have tried launching the game approximately a dozen times after this and it continues to crash at exactly 25 seconds while loading before reaching the main menu. I also submitted a crash report via the crash reporter. The crash persists today (30-03-25).
I have tried the following fixes:
- Verified integrity of my game files.
- Ensured my dedicated Graphics Card is running the game.
- Disabled Steam Cloud Backups.
- Disabled Steam Overlay.
- Updated graphics card drivers to latest version.
- Disabled all programs that may interfere with theHunter: Call of the Wild.
- Whitelisted the game in ransom ware and virus and threat protection settings.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling theHunter: Call of the Wild.
But the crash persists at exactly 25 seconds while launching.
The issues seem to coincide with the First Community Challenge: Medium March Hunt as I have never experienced a crash up to the date that it began, though I am unsure if it is related.
I submitted a ticket (#349927) through The Hunter Customer Support though it has remained unanswered.
As I am unable to launch the game I am concerned I may miss out on the First Community Challenge and will be ineligible to receive the weapon skin rewards if the issue persists. Will this be the case?
Much appreciated,
Digger
