Hello, I’m getting a lot of stick drift to the left, which is also coincidentally based on the left stick itself. I’ve tried messing around with the dead zones for the left stick, but the drift is so bad that all of my settings get changed and none of the settings stay still long enough for me to actually change anything. If I switch to a different game, the controller does stabilize.
#Controller drift

I've been playing on Xbox with a controller for years, and stick-drift is unavoidable. When the controller sits and collects dust, worse during humid times, it will get a drift that comes and goes. You can clean the sticky dust by pulling up on the stick until it clicks free, and take a Q-Tip dipped in alcohol and clean the ball. Don't put too much in there, wring out the Q-Tip before you do it. Then, while pulling up gently on the stick, rotate it 5 times in each direction. Push it back down and try it.
As for why it works fine on other games, who knows, but this is how you clean a drifting stick.
