The max weight for tigers in game is 324 kg. Irl, a Bengal Tiger with a weight more than 270 kg is a freak specimen in itself, let alone one that weighs 50 kg more. On average, male bengals are around 220 kg and more, the most number of specimens have a 240 kg weight. Average for Nepal tigers seem higher, but it's usually just fur. One of the largest Bengal Tigers alive looks to be an unnamed male from Bardia National Park in Nepal (photo attached, by unknown). But, he too wouldn't be much bigger than 290 kg, maybe touching 300 kg with a full stomach. So, I just have one request. Please, please, please decrease the weight for Bengal Tigers. If we ever get a Great One tiger, make it a Maltese or bluish-gray coloured and weighing 300 kg or more.

Diamonds are supposed to represent the largest of the specimen. Just below the Great One.

According to the Rowland Ward record book, the heaviest recorded wild Bengal Tiger was hunted by the Maharaja of Cooch Behar in India in the year 1890, weighing 540 pounds (244.94 kg).

I found another registry list from the Rowland Ward book of the heaviest Bengal Tigers ever killed. Major M. D. Goring-Jones killed a Bengal Tiger that weighed 317.5 kilograms (700 pounds) (indicated by the red circle), killed in the Central Provinces, a province of British India. It is likely that these records are outdated, as the database is around 100 years old. Perhaps there are other newer records after these. Therefore, the maximum weight of the tiger in COTW is justifiable and considered extraordinary for a wild diamond specimen. 🐯

I also think given the sheer amount and volume of food sources on sundarpatan with such little competition is a recipe bound for very large tigers.

David J. Hasinger hunted the 857 pounds (388 kg) tiger in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, in 1967. This would be the Great One Tiger in real life. The weight was verified and recorded in an official document.

Today, the tiger ‘Giant Of Kumaon’ is on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC.

For example, a legendary male from Chitwan in the late 1900's (Sauraha male) was weighed at 272 kg. "Bittu" from Umred Karandla looks much bulkier than the Sauraha male, but he's around 230 kg

So the weight machine was probably not that accurate at that time

He was still a gigantic tiger, definitely over 324kg. Just looking at the pictures of him, he’s a monster. Yes, he had eaten the night before, but he would still be a monstrous tiger nonetheless.

Considering that some species in game have far worse weight estimates, such as Whitetail only weighing about 100 kilos when they consistently weigh over 150kg over a large portion of their range, I’d say Tigers are just fine where they are.

Also, scales were still very accurate in the 1960’s. It’s not like they were some ancient piece of equipment then, they’d been around for a while.
