After doing a little research I found some interesting oddballs I think deserve at least a little attention.

First, the competitor to the famous M1 Garand, this rifle saw very little service in combat but the modified Johnson rifle chambered for .270 Winchester ended up being a strange but venerable hunting rifle. Semi automatic and sporting a 5 round magazine, the Johnson rifle is an odd but reliable deer rifle still.

Second, pump action rifles are relatively few and far between but somehow they still exist. Chambered for. 357 magnum or .44 magnum, the action arms Timber Wolfe is a good choice for fast shooting at close range, the 8 round tubular magazine can be emptied relatively quickly with great accuracy.

Another oddity from the space age, the 24ga shotgun still exists and finds use in modern custom guns for upland birds like quail and partridge, this is an original single shot designed for just such a hint.
