My hot take is that we need a break from semi autos. There are ten( soon to be thirteen) semi auto guns in the game right now. It’s getting really boring, especially this new pack which uses two calibers that already have semi auto rifles. I want to see more unique weapons with different calibers and actions to them. Like the double barrel bolt action rifle or the Schofield model 3

I'd like to see bigger calibers like the .416 and .458, etc. But we could use box magazine lever actions, more muzzleloaders (especially flintlocks and shotguns), a 28 gauge and an actual .410 shotgun.

I'm a sim player 1 caliber & sidearm for the whole hunt. Idc about the medal or ethical scores. I hunt as I do IRL. If EW applies ammo options in the same way Ultimate Hunting is doing I'd be happy as a clam on a sunny day.

yea all the calibers are class locked and pretty much 80-90% are viable to hunt various game with the correct ammo authentically. The class locks force ppl to use calibers for that set game & in a hunting game the players should have the freedom to choose not the developer. Ultimate Hunting applied ammo & caliberchoice & use nearly it perfectly by adding ammo.

I do half wonder if the chamois are getting model tweaks with them noting that they’re getting a pop reset or if it’s just due to their most likely proximity with tahr. If they do then I’ll still be pretty happy even with the new DLC being another set of guns

Again I dont hate the new pack just that its rereleasing 2 existing calibers that also have a bolt & semi auto variant. I would've rather had gotten an SVD in 7.62x54R, SKS is fine, & another new caliber. I'll shamefully admit I will likely use these often unless EW royaly screws them up like the 7.62x35 & other calibers although the only 1 in question is the 7.62x39 the other 2 will likely be safe from unnecessary balance shenanigans. But most of all EW really needs to focus up on adding ammo options & refocus on our gear over masking them with gifts & G1 releases & ignore it hoping we'll move on & forget. If you know EW then please, address it. That includes game reworks. We love new maps, game, & gear but its pointless if our gear & animals are outdated & unpolished.

I wouldn't mind that either, but for me I expected EW to release 3 new calibers as well as more action variants. I wouldn't even be upset if they brought in existing calibers that only have 1 variant just to mix it up. But never did I expect a repeat with 30.06 & .308 after the big reveal for the M1 & Olssen. The ARs are very meh except the 22lr & NEMO although the Nemo should've been a .458wm over 300wm. "Honestly .410ga, blackpowders, Varmint C:1 - Med Small Game C:3 calibers & Magnum 5-9 calibers is what I prefer to see moving fwd".

I hate to agree here. Russian theme pack with 1 Russian Caliber & 2 US calibers...... All 3 should've been Russian by origin: 7.62x54R, 9x39, 7.62x39, etc. This really sucks bc I really like this pack but why 308 & 30.06 on a Russian themed pack I dont get it.

I have no problem with 308 or 30.06 if it was a SxS 2x barrel, Single, or even a Pump action rifle I'd be all over it but I cant wrap my head around a Russian theme with US calibers. Its like taking the solokin (Russian M44 Mosin Carbine 7.62x54R) & releasing it as a 308 or a German K98 Mauser 8mm & releasing it as a 308......its just not right.

After thousands of hours in the game I don't see difference between bolt and semi. Playing first hundreds of hours I wanted only semi auto rifles. Semi good for the new and grind. And judging by the situation the devs have long stopped try to hold on the old hunters (not grinders).
