It would be very nice and I think desired by the community if we could somehow see how close we are to reaching an achievement. Yesterday I managed to get a heart shot with the Alexander Longbow and I wish to be able to see progression towards that achievement. Often I come back to the game after months of not playing and I have no clue how close I am to getting any of the achievements I was working towards when I last played.

Thank you very much! I had an idea for hunting blow guns like the ones used by modern hunters to take down big game, but turns out that's already been brought up a few times.
