Oh and one more thing. When I switch monitors, the game disappears. How are you guys stopping that from happening?
i have the same thing and its done on purpose ive heard
a support guy didnt tell me how to fix it but did tell me how to screenshot with windows+g
so answer probably is you cant
You can do this by going into windowed mode. It shows your task bar but keeps your game up when you tab between screens.
For helping with it being resource heavy I just use admin mode in Obs and close all tabs (especially needed if you have chrome with a lot of extensions).
Hi there,
Just to add on to this, you can add /borderless launch option for our game on Steam to get it running in borderless windowed mode (as long as it's also set to windowed in the game). This way, it will stay in focus when tabbed out and you won't see the task bar on your end when playing.
For the EPIC release, the launch argument is -borderless
In case of any issues, you can always reach out to us through our website here: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Use ingame windowed mode and borderless parameter in steam cotw start parameters, start the streaming software as admin, disable gpu scheduling in Windows, disable overlays which you dont need (like discord overlay, steam overlay etc).
You can try to maximize performance: disable hardware acceleration in other programs like steam, discord - they dont need to run on your gpu. It should run smooth.
For normal gameplay records Nvidia DSR can be used, but you will need fullscreen for DSR - means switching back to desktop often results in restricted mouse movement after you switch back to the game. To fix this you have to set ingame resolution back to native, followed by switching back to DSR resolution.
