So yeah I found some fun little oddballs when I was doing a bit of research. Maybe they'll interest you guys too.

.43 Mauser. A black powder cartridge that apparently originates in the 1870s. The first article I found was about hunting roe deer with this odd little antique so I'd suggest a 2-5 class and the same smoke cloud as the Gandhare

.297-250 Rook. Another oddball from Europe but this one is geared toward garden pests so classes 1 and 2. I'm not going to lie, this one is incredibly interesting just for how strange it is

.327 magnum. This one is a tiny bit of a cheat here, it's a custom build of another model. The simple action of the Steven's Crackshot with a higher caliber barrel added and a new stock. It's not a particularly powerful weapon but it's found success in the southern US on whitetail deer (which honestly aren't much bigger than roe deer most times) the reason it's interesting is the ability to handle .32 H&R cartridges allowing it to hunt smaller game. .327 class 2-3, and .32 covering class 1-2

Although it uses 9.3x74R and not something strange but interesting, a strange but interesting gun that can't be left out of a stange but interesting conversation is the Hoenig Rotary-action
