Fun fact:

The Asian Blackbuck antelope were introduced into Western Australia in the early 1900’s, then in the late 1980’s they were illegally released to Cape York (The top of Queensland) onto a property for hunting. Shortly after that they escaped and started reproducing and were marked as a pest by the Government. The antelope were all culled off before they could do major damage such as crop damage and potentially an exotic livestock disease.

It is believed that there are no wild populations of this animal at the moment, although if they do establish good numbers they will be a very bad pest and cause multiple significant issues.

#

The Leucistic Humpback Whale "Migaloo" who roams the east coast of Australia. Last confirmed sighting was in 2020, although there was said to be a sighting of this magnificent creature in 2022. But it’s not confirmed, experts do believe that Migaloo is still out there alive.
