Hello from my ISP I have set up a public ipv4 to improve my p2p connection on xbox series x but still some players have sync problem . In the router in the port forward settings I have set all the necessary ports . But still some players have the sync problem. How can I still improve it so that players connect without problems ? Are there any other special ports I should enable ?

Hey @runic oar ! It sounds like you've already taken great steps to improve your connection by setting up a public IPv4 and forwarding the necessary ports. If some players are still experiencing sync issues, here are a few additional things you can try:

-Check NAT Type – Ensure your NAT type is Open (not Moderate or Strict). This can often be a key factor in P2P connectivity.
-Enable UPnP – If possible, enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) in your router settings.
-Double-check Port Forwarding – Make sure you've forwarded all necessary ports for Xbox Live and 'theHunter: Call of the Wild' (including UDP 3074, 3544, 4500, and others required by Xbox).
-Reduce Network Load – Ensure no background downloads, streaming, or other high-traffic activities are affecting your connection. If the issue persists, it might be related to the connection quality of the players trying to join. You can suggest they also check their NAT type and network settings. Hope this helps! Upnp in my case is enabled but because I have the ports set manually via portforward so it is enabled but not active. It is only active if I remove the port that works on the xbox but I have tried both options jsk manual enable and upnp .Anyway the problem is not that common since with public ip but it is . NAT is fine no restrictions. Interesting thing is that yesterday I was playing it suddenly disconnected all the players and the ones that couldn't connect to me before suddenly connected ..and the ones that were playing with me couldn't connect again .It's like they switched 😂

@runic oar multiplayer in theHunter: Call of the Wild is based on a peer-to-peer (P2P) system, meaning the connection quality depends entirely on the internet connection of the players joining your game. Unfortunately, this means that if other players have a weak or unstable connection, sync issues can still occur.

We understand that connectivity can be frustrating at times, but since there are no dedicated servers, we can’t directly improve how connections work. That said, we always appreciate feedback and are looking for ways to enhance the experience where possible. In the meantime, ensuring that joiners have a stable internet connection, an Open NAT type, and proper port forwarding can help improve connectivity.
