In southern Mongolia, north to Himalayas, lays the Gobi Desert. This is a vast region known for its impressive canyons, famously rare ice fields, mountain ranges in the south, vast sand dunes that sing when the wind blows and rare animals such as the Wild Bactrian Camel and the Snow Leopard. This is a place with an incredible amount of fossilized remains from the Jurassic time period that are still being found today.
Aside from it's rare species, Asia's largest desert has some amazing wildlife that would make incredible trophies for all the hunters that are ready to answer this call!

I need everyone's help on one topic.

[C8] • Wild Bactrian Camel
This is a species ofĀ camelĀ endemic toĀ Northwest ChinaĀ and southwesternĀ Mongolia. It is closely related but not ancestral to the domesticĀ Bactrian camel.Ā GeneticĀ studies have established it as a separate species which diverged from the Bactrian camel about 0.7–1.1Ā million years ago.
These species are endangered, even tho they would be that main selling point of this DLC.

The question for us to decide together is:
Since we have the endangered Bengal Tigers, Snow Leopards and Wild Yaks in the game, should Wild Bactrian Camels be added to this map in small numbers?

This animal we decide here.
React with šŸ‘ if you want them in the game.
React with šŸ‘Ž if you don't want them in the game.
Respect one another's opinion.
Let the devs make the decision based on our fair community choice

Fair enough! I can see them doing that šŸ‘
I would go with adding only 10 Wild Camels randomly roaming the far parts of the dunes, so it would be as rare of an accurance as finding snow leopards in the southern mountainous parts of this map. And I would be fine with those few added only if they back it up with a full storyline based on them

I should also point out that Tibetan Fox are found nowhere in the Gobi Desert (They mainly live on the Tibetan Plateau and some parts of the Himalayan Mountains) but the closely related Corsac Fox calls the Gobi Desert home and the specific species of Sandgrouse found in the Gobi is the Pallas Sandgrouse

So this map will have a small section for the Tibetan plateau in southwest, where they can make their return on a second map

# simple hedge I forgot the "Palla's" part on the Sandgrouse lol and Tibetan Fox range does cov...

Okay, they barely exist in the Gobi Desert, but not every species from Sundarpatan needs to appear on a second map. If the Corsac Fox is not worthy of replace the Tibetan Fox (Despite being very present), might I instead suggest the Pallas Cat: They live throughout Mongolia (Which is very likely the country chosen if the devs want to include the Gobi Desert due to Mongolia being a well known hunting destination) and are iconic looking cats

Plus I just want them to be fine with adding new species to newer maps, I know they are special to that one map that they released but that doesn't mean they can't be on more, newer ones ... just like how I was bummed they didn't include Sambar in Sundarpatan just because Emerald Coast was still fresh and they didn't want to take it from it ...

[C2] • Corsac Fox:
Small to medium-sized wild canid native to Central Asia's steppes and semi-arid regions.Ā Appearance is a sandy to pale gray fur with a black-tipped tail, paler underparts, and pale markings around the mouth, chin, and throat.Ā In winter, their coat thickens and becomes silkier, turning straw-grey with a darker back stripe.

[C1] • ☣ Gobi Pit Viper:
Also known as Central Asian Pit Viper, is aĀ venomousĀ speciesĀ ofĀ pitviperĀ endemicĀ to northern Asia. Reports are examining subadults and adults ofĀ Gobi Pit ViperĀ that were 33.5–71Ā cm (13.2–28.0Ā in) in total length.Ā There are also mentions that some individuals may reach as much as 78Ā cm (30.5Ā in) in total length. The body is relatively stout, and the snout is not upturned.
Watch under your feet while exploring the dunes of Gobi Desert, these snakes are venomous and will stand their ground against you if you get too close. The bite/hit from the Gobi Pit Viper will cause the same "Poison Effect ☣" introduced here - #1207357430963507281 message
If you come victorious against them, they will be an incredible trophy addition to the lodge, bringing their incredible patterns with them

Yes birdshot will work on class 1 snakes, and like birds, as long as it's a proper ammo, you'll get the full score regardless if you hit lungs or not, but not all snake species will be class 1, like Green Anaconda from https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1207357430963507281 has to be a Class 2 because it only makes sense, so you would have to get a lung shot on it, which could be challenging, but that's the fun of it

A pit viper is an interesting choice for a map I'd love to see how it'll be implemented
