#Africa 2.0 mini map

Hi everyone I wondered what everyone thought of the idea of Africa 2.0 being a mini map like Salzweisen Park. We already have a large Africa map so the devs would only being wasting time reproducing the same landscape. Plus we have a small game map now with Salzweisen I thought the big 5 could be on a small map also. This would allow more time for the devs to produce new maps large ones with different landscapes rather than repeating one we already have, and we would still get the big 5 added to the game. Maybe this way we would get 3 maps in a year, two large ones and a mini. The minis would allow for any extension or expansion of any of the reserves too in a small form and perhaps allow added animals to that reserve to be added rather than backfilled. It could also add new species too that missed the main map and it would not take away the populations of the original map.

Absolutely not.

We've been waiting literally years and I'll go ahead and tell you if Africa 2.0 is a mini map like SP it will fail and an absolutely massive number of fans will abandon the game altogether

@glacial egret really? I hardly play the African map we already have now, I can’t remember the last time I even did, months ago. Perhaps others are of like mind and wouldn’t care either as long as the big 5 were included. I can see why they haven’t done it yet to waste resources and cost on a map we already have, and to add them to the pre-existing map would decline the others in population.

# glacial egret Because Vurhonga is a crappy map with a lot of bad decisions on it. Check out <#...

Ok I admit it looks cool. Would I play it more than the map now, i honesty don’t know. I know it has been a request for years I started playing when the game was first released. A mini would get it in our hands sooner rather than later. Just can’t see them wasting resources on it now, which is why it has been so many years already. It was just a thought. I personally would still be good with a mini map from that idea of a landscape.

oh u mean a zoo

They are going to go by how popular the map they have now is played as well, it has been said it is not the most popular one.

the big 5 as u suggest would need a lot of space to roam around and feel natural. releasing them on a reserve like salz would feel like a zoo

Well that would be great for the grinders.

nah this would

forget the setting, animal ai, senses etc, just load up animal in front of my sights- shoot and repeat. Run quickly to social media to present your trophy and get likes.

lol. I never seen that game before. When I play I like to roam, but I know some just hop from lake to lake so a large map wouldn’t matter anyway if that is how you play.

you realize vurhonga is the depiction of a small part of africa and that the whole of africa doesnt look exactly like vurhonga right ? Not to mention Vurhonga isn't even that great a depiction of Africa in the first place because it is an amalgamation of various parts of Africa into one monstrosity of a map.
A small game African map could be cool but a small map with big game species ? That's what we call canned hunting
I strongly feel that a full sized or even larger map for Africa 2.0 is necessary, especially if were gonna have big game like Elephant

It’s extremely privileged to say all of Africa looks the same.

Wasting time reproducing the same landscape?

The Kalahari desert of Namibia, the green hills of East cape South Africa, the Masai Mara of Tanzania, the highlands of Ethiopia, and the Congo Jungles of Cameroon

Vurhonga don’t even scratch the surface when it comes to African landscapes

# ionic flax it's the initial post

So my original post? It was only a suggestion to perhaps get the big 5 sooner rather than later. No need to get upset about it, it is only a game. I can see waiting longer than for it.

Well gives the devs some feedback which is what I wanted for them, geez some of ya need to relax. Glad I am not them, signing off I am not going to argue, I have better things to do. Good luck devs.

Saying that all of Africa has the same landscape as Vurhonga should be a federal crime

I'm not against an African SP reserve with African Small Game. If Memory serves it was mentioned in the 2.0 thread for the Tiny 10, I believe. I will agree the Big 5 is better suited for a Full-Size reserve but I'm not going to shun the thought of an African SP reserve with Africa's Small Game.
