My primary reason for posting this is to make the developers aware of dogs getting stuck. Dogs getting stuck happens quite often. It's most common in the following situations:
- Around water. When navigating near water dogs can get stuck near the shore. It's as if they're stuck trying to decide if they should swim to you or if they should walk around the water.
- When fast traveling to a gated off outpost like Blingham Farms Mobile Home. The player will be able to leave the outpost gate just fine but the dog will get stuck behind the gate.
- When moving up or down a steep cliff. The dog will fail to follow you.
I think an easy fix to this could be making the range at which the dog will automatically teleport to you smaller when it is in the "heeling" behavior. A system that causes the dog to teleport does exist, but its trigger is too stringent.
