With the new transformer model, DLSS has never looked better, ahh with the option of DLSS overide support, players will have the option to customize their graphical experience even further.
I think DLSS would be an excellent next step for the game as a quality of life improvement.

Or just optimize the game? DLSS is a cheap workaround for lazy developers that don't care about the general optimization (And EW are not one of those)

EW already has their games very well optimized (mostly because their Avalanche open world engine is appropriately built for this type of game) and also is a little dated, so therefore less taxing on modern GPUs

That isn't to say that games shouldn't have DLSS support. The option should always be there, as with any graphical setting, so users (PC at the least) have the freedom to customize their experience appropriately.

I was just looking for an upscaling option a day ago because I wanted a little more than 60 fps. Seeing that they only have AMD's upscaling tech which isn't the greatest... I was kind of bummed.

For people less powerful PCs... upscaling can really help those players with performance. The tech itself doesn't make the game look bad. As you said, it's the game itself that does.
