Muzzleloader hunting is extremely popular and hunting with them is a challenge that lots of us in Call of the Wild absolutely love. The Hudzik and Curman are a great start but we'd love to have even more variety in the smoke pole shooting category. Here's 3 suggestions, tell me what you think

(Remington 700) A bolt action Muzzleloader using .45 caliber bullet designed for long range shooting. There are some designs capable of reaching 700 yards.

(Gibbs muzzleloading shotgun) this is an old style of side by side popular for waterfowl and upland birds before modern designs with paper shells and smokeless powder. This one happens to be a 12ga smooth bore designed for heavy bird shot and .70 caliber lead ball (deer/black bear/ boar)

(Traditions Vortek pistol) A .50 caliber handgun, it would be more or less a cut down Curman with a shorter range but much lighter. Think of the Cuomo or Jernberg pistol blasting a cloud of smoke.

Yes to all of this, but gimme a .54 or .58 Flintlock, too. Maybe a .32 for small game.

#

That smoothbore would be so sick and versatile, too.

This pack should also come with a buckskin outfit. ๐Ÿ‘€

The curman is wayyy better than I thought it was. Tested it on pronghorn, black bear, and called in a decent size bull elk. Iโ€™d be glad to see more black powder firearms.

Yeah, that Hawken looks amazing. The Hudzik scope would work well for it too. Also yeah, it's a .54

#

Traditions makes a .32 percussion muzzleloader still apparently

Inlines and percussion caps are great, and I'm all for more of them, but it's a crime we have no flintlock to stalk game with on New England Mountains.

#

A .54 Hawken would be perfect for SRP, Yukon, and Layton Lakes, though.

This thread had me itching to take the Hudzik on NEM this morning. That was fun. Hiked the northern hills and took a few bears. That's a better gun than I remember it being. Would still love any and all the black powder guns mentioned in this thread. ๐Ÿ‘

I'd adore any of these. I really want a big game flintlock rifle added to the game too, it'd be so cool

4 bore flintlock were actually developed as a last ditch weapon to stop charging elephants. Unfortunately good at doing that, they contributed to the beginning of the ivory trade.

HOWEVER

In game I can see this thing wrecking class 9 and possibly 10 animals. It would obviously be a an extremely slow reload and the highest recoil in the game but it would be FUN

Maybe a flintlock would also be nice ๐Ÿ‘
