So here a some old school and outdated or underused rifles and cartridges here we the 250-3000 savage 2-7 it a ok black bear round so it’s a less powerful then most black bear hunting rounds then 260rem 3-8 it a modern rifle cartridge but very under used then a 38-55 3-8 or 4-8 range then a 760 pump action 30-06 rifle or 270 is also expected but these are rifles that most “old” men own but

Old man arsenal huh 🤣
It’s a joke but most old timers probably have one of these rifles
I'm aware & it is amusing but you're also not wrong I was raised around a few of these.
Model 99 is 1 & the 760. Although my grandfather had a pump rifle in 7mm. 😅 then again he swore by the 7mm 70% of his collection were 7mm's.
Yeah, I definitely do like all of these
Overall I'd like to see the M99 (250-3K) & the M760 (any caliber). We need more C:2-3+ coverage & new actions added. At least for those who follow the #'d class mechanic. I hunt game with the same calibers I do IRL regardless of the C# rating. But I still would like to see more sm-med game calibers & Magnums added. Oh & more blackpowder rifles as well. With that said I still like this list 👍 for me.
@teal anvil you might like these
Inject the 760 into my veins! Shot my first deer with my uncle's in .243 and I've loved it ever since.
Killed mine with a savage axis2 350 unfortunately it was a low stomach hit and he never recovered him 😔 he ran across property line but it’s the hardest lesson when it comes to hunting but a important one that you can love this sport and way of tradition and or providing a way of food that not every shot is good and it hurts worse then a girlfriend leaving you
Every hunt I go on after that day it lives in the back of my head I got a big doe this year so I feel happy and half redeemed but I’ve been hunting since I was 8 and I’ve never regretted a lesson learned even if I never asked to to learn it hunting has taught me
A good clean kill for meat in the freezer is better than any risky shot for a chance at antlers, no doubt.
My buddy and I drew Any Deer tags this year that typically take three or more years to draw. He shot a real nice Muley buck and I couldn't resist a big bodied button buck that bounced by at 100 yards as we admired his deer. We tagged out within 10 minutes of each other on two clean close shots and had meat and memories to last.
I shot a little forky not a monster but it was the only deer I had seen that day so I took the shot and something when wrong I’ll never know what it was perfect broadside shot
308 savage 99 mannlicher stock
@remote bridge @nocturne shale
That's actually amazing, I really like that look, I'd definitely refinish the blueing and stock. Maybe switch to aperture sights and work up a specific load to make the most out of it
I just made a new dog suggestion it’s simpler to the pointer but dangerous game only #1333888367628386304 message
But yeah mannlicher stocks are super nice looking to
