I'm native to these lands and this place is packed with rich biodiversity, especially Nilgiri Hills and Munnar. Its home to unique species like Nilgiri Thar, Lion-Tailed Macaque, Sambar Deer, Black Panther, etc...

Its also a home for a rare flower called "Kurinji or Neelakurinji" that blooms once in 12 years.

A humble suggestion for a new reserve !!

Hey @tight cove ! We absolutely appreciate your insight, especially as someone native to the area. The rich biodiversity of Nilgiri Hills and Munnar, with its unique species would indeed make for an incredible new reserve. If you ever want to share more of your thoughts or if there’s anything specific you’d like to see in future updates, please don’t hesitate to reach out through: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Oh thats easy for me: Last I checked Sport-hunting is outlawed in India

That is why I downvoted and I will explain why

And just because we can now somewhat expect Protected Species in the game does NOT mean we will be getting reserves set in countries that have BANNED sport-hunting generally speaking, which rules out
• India
• Afghanistan
• China (since 2006)
• Kenya (since 1970)
• South Sudan (this was one of the first things they did upon becoming independent from Sudan)
• Brazil (only in Rio Grande do Sul and only for wild boar and ducks, but its an on and off situation meaning that while it did open in 2013, it may be banned now, and subsistence hunting is quite different and there is no way they would allow foreign hunters to take part)

Why do I say Sport Hunting specifically
• it can be used to refer to Trophy Hunting, which is what we are all doing in this game one way or another

If we did get another map in Asia its more then likely to be somewhere like Japan, Central Asia, Mongolia or Pakistan with places like the UAE (as a compact map), Malaysia and the Caucasus Mountains also being possibilities

Nepal worked for several reasons (in my opinion)
• It already has a hunting reserve irl that is referred to in the in-game dialogue on Sundarpatan
• I suspect the talk about reopening tiger hunting in Nepal might have contributed to their inclusion on Sundarpatan
• Its home to the highly requested Tahr and is one of the two main destinations for them (New Zealand is just more accessible)

I feel like I should also add that this game is far from a true-to-life hunting experience. irl you can't kill an entire herd of whitetail without jail time in the USA (yet we cull deer in this game like they are wild hogs in texas lol).

I understand hunting in those countries are illegal in real life, but this is a video game, and they have proven that by adding tigers as a huntable species (due to popular demand, not based on real-life laws).

If we are talking about the legalities of sport hunting in video games, I say anything goes depending on what the developers want.

I will point out that Nepal does allow limited sport hunting and if there is one aspect of realism I want to see maintained its keeping potential future reserves set in countries that allow sport-hunting

If a person wants a truly fantastical hunting game that is far from realistic I can point to dinosaur hunting games (Prehistoric Hunt, plus the community for the Carnivores Games put out some fantastic standalone mods) and there are games that go into fantasy while still having modern animals (Like Project Hunt, a game that is having a Texas themed map coming out soon with Cassowaries and Black Rhinos on it)

I have accepted that yes, there are aspects of the game that are quite unrealistic for the sake of gameplay, for example Alberta, the Canadian Province that Askiy Ridge is set in does not allow caribou hunting irl and mountain goats are a once in a lifetime draw (regardless of weather you get a tag or not you can never draw for mountain goats again) and yet I killed more goats on the first day of the map being out then there are tags available in the province
