New ATV additions

Multiplayer competition:

There's a time limit of 5 minutes or a way to choose how long you want it to take and you need to get the highest speed to win.
I'd like timed challenges.

Races, this could be a little hard to make but this would be very fun.
You spawn at a random house or tent you've unlocked and have to go to a random house you've unlocked and whoever's first wins!

Additions to the ATV:

New item: Wrench, using a wrench you can repair your ATV to make it max health again.
The wrench will cost 1000 cash for 10 wrenches
a wrench takes up 0.10 inventory space

This could be hard to make but this is an essential feature for the ATV:

I always bump into the smallest rocks or sticks or whatever so i would love it if the ATV could go through more small stuff

Being able to change how loud the ATV sounds would be really appreciated.
It's too loud for my liking but unfortunately i cant change it so i would like a setting to change how loud the ATV sounds
(this will still make animals flee this just makes every ATV sound quieter for the player)

You can customize weapons and binoculars with wraps, so why cant you customize ATV's?
It would be so awesome to customize your ATV's with wraps and more like:
Extra storage:
Being able to put a storage box on your ATV
Being able to put a friend or dog on your ATV if you've customized it
If a friend is on your ATV maybe he can shoot from it
You can only choose one of the 3

Being able to use your camera on an ATV.
Seriously why cant you do this?
It would be a nice small change so i can take pictures on my ATV

Riding your ATV through deep water and respawning makes its health go down by alot.
If this is a feature it'd be nice for this to get removed, if this is a bug i'd appreciate this to be fixed.

I like the overall concept except the races as I feel its not necessary. However I do agree a tool kit (like the medkit) would be nice to repair damage. Color customization to camo the atv's (just like our blinds, tents, & weapons). An accessory option (just like our pack option) for the atv with a: •2nd seat •Kennel •Storage box would be both useful and ascetically pleasing. As well as another audio slider. 👌 Perfect

I get it I just dont see EW going that far if they apply the update given the games nature by design. But this is a tough topic considering how things went with adding them in the 1st place. So its a 50/50 but I wont rule out the possibility they'll consider it. If a race against time were to be added in the game, it'll likely be applied to the narrative as there's an emergency & you need to hurry to get there type of scenario but given fast travel its hard to say.

It would either work like your inventory to store additional items or function as it does in the Angler's jeeps, Outposts, & tent storage.

without the fast travel. But I dont see it as worse given how the TheAngler applied the storage option to the Jeeps. I've always wanted this feature as I use the atv for Sim Hunts. It would be even better with UTV's but given the backlash when the Atv's launched its unlikely. But EW has suprised us before. Though if we get more snow dedicated locations I'd like them to add snowmobiles. If they were a bigger studio with better control on there engine (or a better engine), I'd go as far as replacing the tires for tracks replacing top speed for better control & mobility in the snow and mucky terrain as well as atv's being able amphibious to travel across body's of water.

Being able to carry 1 tent, treestand or tripod extra on an ATV if you've upgraded would be nice.
I don't think the ATV is overpowered and this suggestion will still keep the ATV balanced.

never said it was op but it doesn't handle well is folks biggest complaint aside on how loud it is.

It would be nice if your atv could have 1 of the 3 things
Buddy being able to sit on it
Dog being able to sit on it
Bit of storage on the ATV
And ofcourse you can have multiple ATV's in your storage so whenever you want a buddy to come on your atv for example you switch to another atv

Loud as in scaring away animals?
I put in the suggestion being able to change every ATV sound for just you if you find it loud which i sometimes do.
I'f youre preparing to hunt i wouldnt reccomend using an ATV but atleast some animals give warning calls when you're riding it like plains bison.

But if I were at the studio I'd consider a vehicle add-on dlc that allows players to upgrade the atv to their needs further allowing its usefulness and it adds more credit use bc as the game is now the game seriously lacks credit use. Its sad that nearly 75+% of players likely have 100,000's+ credits saved up with no real use to use it outside of ammo, stat resets, & stands. Yea you have reticles & camo but that only goes so far.

Exactly. •Paint •Accessories (kennel, storage, 2nd seat) •Tracks •Amphibious upgrade •Repair kit •audio slider that requires players to use their credits = perfect. Bc I'm sick of getting Dlc's and getting them for free in-game it defeats the principle given the Base Game content has weapon type mastery & hunter lvl requirements to unlock them then a price tag. I'm fine with dlc's skipping the master requirements so long as I still have to buy them. I hate handouts except reserve unlocks and community unlocks

You could track while on the ATV, they changed it after the pointer update. Pointers messed with a few dog mechanics.

🤣 no the audio is an added option in the audio settings everything else is added in the store/garage. It would be part of the update whether you buy the dlc or not so you have an audio slider. They added a slider for the E-Caller so it would make sense they would for the atv as well.

I'm not sure about races either tbh. Similarly to @carmine tiger, I don't mind some kind of time challenge if it's integral to a story mission or includes having to harvest some number of animals or something but not just for racings sake.

Yes, everything should be customisable in the game that comes with colour options, That includes ATV. Why not? Seems like an oversight to have missed it really.

I like the storage idea too.

and also what do you mean with tracks? i dont fully understand it. i dont see the point of having the callers while youre on your atv but binoculars could be a bit nice

in snow & mud climates tires are replaced with tracks. Snowmobiles have rear tracks as a visual. UTV's also have track options for these kinds of conditions.

They are under selling hard they could easily charge 19.99 a reserve or by todays market 24.99. However given how the studio is they'll likely charge 9.99 given the new price increase. Jaxy talked about it in a few streams that they easily could but they do everything they can to keep the price down & accessible.

boats are useless as reserves are now. Only a few reserves might benefit from boats. Players would get way more use with the ATV being amphibious with how the current reserve water ways are.

I figured however I'm not against the idea if reserves utilize rivers and islands more but EW already took island travel by boat as a means of fast travel. Though in a stream Jaxy had last talked about Canoes & kayaks that they would be nice to have provided they could justify its use. Imo if rivers were utilized more in the design, it would be great esp. in South America or Amazon/Rainforest reserve.

Would dump the passenger suggestion, irl the machines come with stickers warning you not to double up on em, and having two people of the same size on a machine, especially off roading is dangerous
Game wise I could see it causing a lot of bugs and latency issues unfortunately.

Also If you double up irl please don’t my friends family member just died last year due to this

I only pitched the thought given the possibility we dont get UTV's and most UTV's are single riders only however there are passenger models available on the market. Sry for your loss as well.

oh no I was referring to passenger atv models are available in the market, if we didnt get UTV's. If we got UTV's I'd be fine with a 2 or 4 seater. If we got a new ATV model I'd love the 3x3 I love that ATV its so useful.

Better yet scrap that lets go all or nothing & go with an Argo. I almost forgot about these work horses.

I might make a thread for these bc they are some of the best all terrain tools ever made. Semi quiet, amphibious, crawls through nearly any terrain, easy to maintain, has multiple options based on the users needs, as well as track options. They are also great utility machines & have trailer options that are also amphibious.

This would be a smaller thing but would be kinda nice if they ever added this that they would add a helmet to your character, wouldn’t impact view or anything it would be purely aesthetic and would just appear on your character whenever you got on the machine. Bonus would be if they matched your outfit but EW definitely doesn’t have to put that much work into em. Could just make em match the machine if they wanted options but to be a bit lazy with it.

Same in Wyoming, Montana you just need to have it registered and licensed if you want to use it on public roads along with making it roadworthy (mirror, horn, etc.)

Although I think you need a permit if you’re a non resident

yea the road use is the same here but they just passed it last year you have to have a permit to even ride them off road. Too many cases between miss use and riding on non motorized trails.

true if nothing else it should have a flag. Idk anywhere other than private land that doesn't require them. & your right it is a real shame bc I was going to get my kids a mini atv but now they have to wait sadly.

Just make sure that the machine matches their size as they grow, too big is really dangerous and too small makes them super flip prone.

But god are they fun, definitely some of my best memory’s are from growing up riding them, and Ive learned hailstorms suck on em haha

New pricing: Full res. $11.99 •SP (related res's) $6.99 •Dogs $5.99 •Gear/Wpn pks $4.99 as bottom dollar value that EW has been doing for its community. But on avg. by todays dlc/add-on content if they wanted to could 2x the value with small interest making •Full res $24.99 •SP res. $14.99 •Dogs $11.99 •Gear/Wpn pks $9.99. Now wrap your head around that bc this is pretty much 80% of game developers are charging when EW is doing minimum its smart bc you actually make more money this way given the number of consumers increases bc they see it as a deal or bargain & doesn't break the bank. Where other companies are over charging to attempt to make bank when in fact its to cover there butts to avoid severe losses esp. if the title flops. Others do it bc ppl are fanboys and they can get away with it like COD. The other market is the games free to play but they make there money from micro transactions similar to gambling habits. So yea my value at 11.99 is typically the value but bare bones by EW's standards would likely be $5.99 or even $4.99 realistically being treated as a gear pack. A new vehicle probably 6.99 Idk what tha ATV is valued on pc bc we got it on xbox with the game.

This is a laid back hunting game and not a ATV riding sim .... Sure there are a few additions that could be made to the ATV's ... Accessing storage or a smaller portion of storage probably being the most important addition ...

Personally I would like more dev time spent on other alternate forms of travel ... ie boats, horses or maybe even a Jeep ...

To be fair (unless they release a small map just for that) it would cause a major annoyance for anyone trying to hunt along the racing path in random servers, and it would most likely end up being a rarely used gimmick after the newness wore off. Not saying it’s a bad suggestion but I can understand peoples reservations about it.

This would be horrid on any cold maps (Medved, Yukon, etc) and how would it work anyway when recovering your vehicle resets it?
