This map would summarise alot of Swedens nature, with a focus on southern Sweden.
As you can see in the species list, this would mainly be a small to medium game map, with the new species only being class 1-2.

The Archipelago is there mainly to hunt for the Harbour Seal, which i believe would be an interesting addition to the game. Like in real life, you would have to travel to these islands and wait for them to either get up on the island or wait for them to pop their heads out of the surface.
Along with the Harbour Seal these would make for some pretty good waterfowl spots, altough few i believe this map would provide fun gameplay for those who enjoy waterfowl.
The mainland is a mix between some biomes in Sweden, with some farmland, open fields, forrest, rivers, etc.

On the rocky areas near the coast you'll be able to find fewer but still some Harbour Seals and Mouflon, which have been introduced into Sweden for hunting purposes.

On the Fields and farmland you'll be able to find most of the species, Mouflon, Deer, Class 1 Species, etc.
Nothing noteworthy to add on the Fields and Farmland, i think you can imagine what to expect from this part of the map.

In the forrests you'll find all of the species, except for the duck species and the crane. You can look for badger burrows during the day or wait untill the night for them to wander out of their burrows, you'll find the small and invasive mink searching for a birds nest to feast on, and Wild Boar wandering about.

The River and the lakes of this map would be an interesting place, where you'll once again find most of the species during their drink zones. The focus of these rivers would likely be to hunt the beaver, which would hunt for fish and for materials to expand their nests.
I understand that this might not be an appealing map to everyone, and it is pretty niche, and since I'm from Sweden i might be a bit biased for an idea like this.

If you dislike it, please leave a comment why you dont like it.

I see the vision, maybe, but also rather than a whole new reserve I'd like to see a lot of these species spread between Hirsch, Rev, and Salz.

# eternal owl I see the vision, maybe, but also rather than a whole new reserve I'd like to se...

Thats very fair, most of these species can just be added to existing maps as backfills, and i wouldn't mind that either.

The only problem i see is the Harbour Seal, or any seal for that matter, which wouldn't be able to be hunted "properly" on any map due to the lack of reachable islands. The only map that could maybe get seals would be revontuli, with its 1 island that you could hunt on.

Thank you so much for understanding - that's not to say I'm like "absolutely not" as in the case of some ideas I've seen here, just that they definitely could find places and breathe life into other reserves you know?

I've wanted to hunt seals since Cabela's Alaskan Adventures had them in the distance on their Arctic map but you couldn't actually shoot them LOL

So waterfowl wise we are at the coast so I think we should also have birds of the coast velvet scoter, brant goose, common scoter, king eider and long tailed duck are classic sea ducks but also the common goldeneye, tufted duck and common merganser could be found along the coast especially in sheltered bay areas. The great cormorant, and multiple gull species are legal (idk about the cormorant in Sweden but definitely on åland) which would make for an interesting idea, I think we should either scrap big game or make this big and extend it in to a mountainous fjälregion at about the halve point of the map. Along the coast I would and the more southern areas I'd like some fields for grey partridge. In the middle of the map there could be a large lake ans marsh region with a significant size this could open the gates to species like the northern shoveler, garganey, common Pochard, whooper swan but also cranes as you said, some new goose species could be the barnacle geese, pink footed geese, both white fronted geese and the taiga bean goose as well as the geese from revontuli.

I like the idea of harbour seal so we could do that, may be higher mink populations along the coast?

I think we should add a large river as well I'm thinking nedre Dalälven type river starting all the way in the fjäll region (we don't see the start) not as big as Yukons but way larger then the one on new england. In this river system both otters, multiple waterfowl species and beaver could be especially common.
With the animals of the forest I like woodcock and badger, but also capercaillie, black grouse, hazel grouse and in the northern forests willow ptarmigan could fit this area could also have a lot of foxes and raccoon dogs. In the more mountainous region im thinking willow ptarmigan and if ew feels very wild may be Arctic fox.

If we're talking big game, reindeer and brown bear in the north, roe deer on the entire map, mouflon on a major of shore island.

#

Moose on the entire map but with a smaller population then on revontuli, red deer and fallow deer in the south with fallow deer more focusing on agricultural areas, and if we wanna spice things up slightly we could add some low population wolves to the map to make it more unique. A sweden map could be messed up quickly but if they do it I'd have them do it like so

#

For the large river om thinking a river system like this may be it becomes a large lake in the middle

#

This could be some inspo for the large lake

#

I don't think they have to go full mountain tundra but some more northern esque forests with some lakes to may be house smew?! And whooper swans, and some mountains would be fun.
