A Voting List to show of the most wanted Backfills by the Community.

So the way this List works is simple just a tell which animals you want to see on which Map.
If an animal is already on the list and you want it you should still say so i can count how many want this animal on this Map, kinda like a vote . Only thing I can speak for is 1 new animal to vurhonga, I know we should refrain from new but it's literally the most common african antelope that was forgotten, Vurhonga NEEDS Southern Impala

Hirsch: Mouflon,Capercallie

Medved:Raccoon dog (Can be justified depending on where exactly Medved is in Siberia)

Yukon: Willow Ptarmigan

Cuatro: Chamois (Iberia has a subspecies of chamois)

SRP:Coyote,Bobcat,Cottontail, White tailed Jackrabbit

Te:Tahr,Sambar,Rusa

Rancho:Axis, Bison, Gemsbok

Missi:Bobcat,Coyote

That’s what I can think of, sorry for so many

fierce meadow
#

Vurhonga- leopard/Hyena

You find these guys everywhere, fences do not stop them. If Vurhonga was real these guy would 100% be there

vagrant stream
#

Crocs would be good in Vurhonga too.
Maybe a pig to cover class 5..?

hybrid bone
#

Rocky Mountain Elk for Layton Lake District because it is possible to have them and to have 2 species of elk would be cool and fun with if you need a small specimen the eastern turkey. Like this in the same map 2 species of turkeys and elk.

toxic fjord
#

Gotcha, lemme delete these then

errant lantern
#

the reason is to show EW which are the most importend backfills that need to happen first so EW dont just add a random duck instand of the animal the majority of the community wanted

toxic fjord
#

I'll vote for reindeer on Revontuli too, they'd be great there

I have never heard of gemsbok hunting on Argentinian ranches.

#

All the species in Parque are commonplace on Argentinan game ranches.

They aren’t random picks

Mtn goat on layton would definitely make me play there more

Ohhhhh

true kiln
#

I fixed it, I think my late night brain slapped them in parque because I couldn’t think of anything to add there

#

I guess an argument for mouflon on parque could be made as they’ve been introduced to parts of Argentina

trail karma
#

There isn’t much to add to Parque simply because Argentina is a big wing shooting country with a whole lot of completely unique species lol

Parque - European Wild Boar, Fallow deer, and mouflon

true kiln

I was gonna suggest wild boar and fallow lol, but second guessed them

NEM - RM Elk

Hirsch: Mouflon (renaming them to European Mouflon as well)

Layton: mtn lion (imo there needs to be one "will spook other animals" thing on a base-game map)

Yukon: Willow ptarmigan; I also still stand by my opinion that blacktail could work on grounds of we didn't get coues deer with Rancho, now did we?

SRP: Coyote

TA: Tahr

Rancho: Gemsbok, greenwing teal

Mississippi: gadwall

true kiln
# trail karma NEM - RM Elk

I don’t think that’s a good fit for nem. No elk there at all except game farms, historic range shows there were extremely few in the New England states at all in the past

lethal sentinel
#

^ while RM elk have been reintroduced to the region to fill in the blank left by Eastern elk being hunted to extinction, they're pretty concentrated to Pennsylvania still

true kiln
#

It’s kinda sad that Elk reintroduction didn’t succeed in the New England region. Eastern elks role still hasn’t been really filled, but it seems that the ecosystems have made due with what’s there and whitetail are the current filler for that role

Okay for species I want backfilled

Yukon Valley: Black Bear, Mountain Goat, Willow & Rock Ptarmigan
Vurhonga: Fallow Deer (they do live in South Africa after being introduced there)
Cuatro Conlinas: Chamois
Revontouli: Reindeer
Emerald Coast: European Rabbit
Sundarpatan: Hog Deer, Sambar Deer, Axis Deer & Wild Boar (I am surprised no one suggested anything for Sundarpatan)

#

Oh yeah and I second sika and roe deer for Salzwiesen and would also like to see European Hare backfilled to Salzwiesen

#

And to top it off: Roe Deer for Revontouli

toxic fjord
#

How would y'all feel about grizzlies on Layton but using the spawn rules for tigers? I don't exactly live in the PNW but here in Wyoming grizzlies seem to be coming back

Also, Nilgai for rancho. They're doing pretty well in the wild and rancho is the closest we have to south Texas

Another vote for Gadwall on Mississippi Acres + one for NEM

Te Awaroa - Tahr
Mississippi- Gadwall & Mallard

Rocky Mountain elk for Te. RME are a staple of New Zealand and I feel they could be worked into Te pretty well

split agate
#

Sika deer for Hirsch, Hazel grouse for medved so we have a map with a higher population of them.
Willow and rock ptarmigan on Yukon get my vote. Chamois on cuatro, SRP jackrabbit, new Zealand rusa and tahr each get a vote. Green winged teal and cinnamon teal get votes on rancho. Mississippi deserves gadwall and bobcat

Revontuli is fine I find. New england gets feral hogs by me. Emerald coast water buffalo for gods sake!

Finally sundarpartan gets a vote for the ferruginous duck (and hopefully more upland birds in the future) you can also add one for hog deer because I think those need it the most. Finally salzwiesen gets nothing currently in-game if you want my reasoning I can explain.

@errant lantern Almost half of these backfill suggestions will never be made because there are several things to take into account, for example: maps before Revontuli including this last one will never receive a backfill because it is the map format they were looking for and want to have in the game , another variable would be that each reserve must have at least one unique species in the reserve, and the last variable is that a backfill is only made with species that are already in the game, all this must be taken into account when making a backfill.

split agate
modern igloo
# split agate All of these are found in game, also where did you get that info from. If they w...

If it makes sense because there will never be an infill in Revontuli Coast, New England Mountains, Emerald Coast, Sundarpatan and Salzwiesen Park, then on the other hand you could not add sika deer and chamois to other maps because then Te Awaroa would not have unique species, you could only add one of the two and leave the other in Te Awaroa as a unique species and as these examples I can give many more.

split agate
modern igloo
# split agate You can add at least one if them, I've also never heard of unique species Beeing...

Jaxy explains all of this because of the high demand for a second backfill. It's about making each map have a lot of diversity, a lot of things to do, and a lot of hunting opportunities, but also that each map has something exclusive that you can't get on another map. In fact, if you stop to think about it, it makes sense.

They are not explicitly rules but things to keep in mind when doing a backfill.

There aren't that many and they don't limit much either, it's just that there is something exclusive in each map and that backfills will only be done on maps prior to Revontuli Coast since these new maps after Revontuli are considered perfect maps and are exactly the types of maps they were looking for.

This example of filling is the most likely to occur in the future, or at least the vast majority of the example will become reality.

Layton - Bighorn sheep

Hirschfelden- Mouflon

Medved - Roe deer

Parque Fernando- Fallow Deer

Te Awaroa - Tahr and Rocky Elk

The other maps i want backfills on doesn't have the animals I want in the game yet.

If they do these backfills, i would prefer not to lose any animal populations

Mouflon on parque, honestly anything on rancho, rme and sambar on ta would be the best additions to be honest

My most wanted backfills:
Rancho - Grey fox, Mountain lion
Sundarpatan - Sambar deer, Axis deer
Emerald Coast - European rabbit, Water buffalo
New England Mountains & Missisippi Acres - Pintail duck, Wood duck
This is just backfills only. I could suggest brand new species for current maps but we already know they won't do that.

what are the numbers for and why u add fallow deer in vurhonga savanna in botswana 💀

errant lantern

But heres is the short explanation: the numbers are showing how many people suggested an animal as an backfill. Fallows are on vurhonga cause 2 people suggested it.

if you want you could say some of your backfill votes too, would be plesure for me to add them.

but why would they vote fallow deer in a african map

Its kinda weird with vurhonga cause EW seems to swap the location of the map every now and then
