#New Map of Midwest United States

What deer would be on the map?
White-tailed Deer, but do deer really need to be on this map, the Midwest could work rather well for an American "Salzwiesen Park"
Also new shotguns could be added
For the species list
- White-tailed deer
- Coyote
- Fox
- Squirrel
- Raccoon
- Opposum
- Many kinds of ducks and geese
- Crow
- Grouse
- Doves
- Rabbits
- Badgers
- Bobcats and furbearers
Maybe a new shotgun if it was like Minnesota where in the Southern part where I hunt you can only use shotguns and muzzleloaders
I was thinking Indiana because there are plenty of marshes and LOTS of fields
are there pheasant there?
or quail? either way this is a fire idea
we NEED dove in cotw
Ya there’s pheasant
Well ya but if you look up pictures of whitewater I deer and turkey hunt there and it’s so good of land
We should share this with others
we dont need another map in the usa
How come
yes we do
You are a good person 😁
we need 1 for every state minimum
Not gonna lie a Montana or Arizona reserve would be nice
we need a new mexico reserve
Virginia reserve🙏
First we gotta get this MN or Indiana reserve
first this park then have a new mexico map
Yes then Virginia and then Montana
Yes
More waterfowl
I’m pretty sure that’s supposed to be for and Arizona map
there are wigeons, gadwall, wood ducks, pintails, redheads they could add (its a new mexico map)
Also there are no black bear in Indiana
this is just a species list for new mexico ill make a full list in a little
Again this is southwestern map
Oh ok
Ozarks, Brook Range, Kodiak Island, Virginia are all deserving of maps
and new mexico
Are you joking?
For the Indiana map I was thinking for the water fowl we would add
-Northern Shoveler
-Mallard
-Pintail
Canvas Back
Ring neck
Green wing teal
Gadwall
Blue wing teal
Lesser scaup
Snow geese
Speckled belly geese
Canada geese
Golden eye
Black duck
American wigeon
Red heads
Greater scaup
Buffle head
Wood duck
Ruddy duck
Red breasted merganser
Common merganser
Coot
Hooded merganser
There are still more to be added but this covers most of it
We also need more calls
yes
We could also add doves
we NEED doves in cotw
There is still all the mammals like
Whitetail
Raccoons
Squirrel
Coyote
Red fox
Muskrat
Beavers
And whatever else people can come up with
I just encourage everyone who reads this to share it with anyone who likes this idea
For sure
What’s a furbearer
Small mammals, Class 2
Ah yes, Rhode Island, where there’s whitetail…uhh…more whitetail. Maybe a turkey?
And Connecticut where there’s…more whitetail.
And Vermont where there’s….idk that’s literally just NEM.
And I could go on about how some states absolutely do not need reserves cuz there’s just straight up nothing there that’s interesting.
A Midwest map would be good if it was something like Iowa or Minnesota, but I do not think it would be a good full sized map. It would be nice as a potential Salzweisen Style Map for the US.
Rhode Island map when? One herd per map
12 whitetail, a handful of turkeys, and a mangey bear
I’m sold.
When is the release date Expansive Worlds?
It’s something that you trap like a beaver muskrat raccoon coyote etc…
Ahem Kansas doesn’t need a reserve…..
Potential map
Two whole fields?
90% of Kansas hunting takes place in fields..
I’m saying like there is more fields but I didn’t want to draw them
Here’s a gun that could go with it
Kansas actually wouldn’t be a bad pick for another upland game map, a Salzweisen style map.
Scaled Quail
Greater Prairie-Chicken
Lesser Prairie-Chicken
Sharp-Tailed Grouse
Rock Pigeon
Morning Dove
Over 20 species of ducks
5 species of geese
And a handful of small mammals like the Virginia Opossum, Nine-Banded Armadillo, Swift Fox, Striped Skunk, American Badger, North American Beavers, Nutrias, and Black-Tailed Jackrabbits.
Obviously I’d much prefer a map elsewhere than Kansas (especially a full size map), but it still wouldn’t make for a bad map, especially if you incorporate some of the more unique parts of Kansas like the Smoky Hills.
yessir
Ok well I’m sorry my two brain cells were fighting over an Indiana map and a Minnesota map
Either could work, although Minnesota would definitely be more suited for Waterfowl Hunting than Upland Game Hunting, and Indiana would have very similar species to Kansas minus a few (namely the Grouse and Quail + Swift Fox)
Anything but Indiana lol. Kansas atleast HAS SOME varied environments.
Ya
I mean…Indiana has the Dunes…and Fields, and maybe a couple tracts of trees every once in a while.
Definitely not my pick for the next map, especially since Kansas has much more varied environments and a better hunting roster imo
What about Mn
I’d rather a full size Dakota based map.

Or a map based in the Ozark’s of Missouri/Arkansas

So long as it’s based on both North and South Dakota, I think a Dakotas map would work well as a full size map. I also wouldn’t complain seeing it as a smaller map (maybe a bit bigger than Salzweisen, but smaller than a regular map).
This is a good idea as well
