Bro the outpost need to have weight rooms in them for when you need to past the time #1067511606373785730

What's the point of this? Also there was zero need to say bro at the start of the sentence.

To carry more guns ammo and tents

Bro we can only carry 44lbs

Bro try to carry 44lbs without a backpack

vocal nebula

I carried a 45 pound weight without a backpack just play football

American football

One weight. Not 50 boxes of ammo and 3 guns, while carrying a tent at the same time.

Carry that in a back pack and it is not hard bro I could Carry 4 guns two tents and 60 boxes of ammo

low lion
# vocal nebula Carry that in a back pack and it is not hard bro I could Carry 4 guns two tents ...

Your character does not wear a backpack, if you really want to carry more put on the useless backpack that is in the game that spooks everything. I'm not quite sure if you understand how hard it would be to carry all of that. It's hard enough to carry one rifle and two magazines without a backpack, along with a tent and 3 other guns. 60 boxes of ammo would be impossible to carry, if you didn't know AMMO IS LEAD, lead is heavy, so is brass which is the other part of ammo.

Ammo is light have you ever held ammo before

Yes, a box of 25 .308 rounds is probably around half a pound. 50 9mm is probably 1 pounds.

Bro I have 308 ammo it is ligh5

100 rounds of 150 gr 308 is 5 lbs by itself, plus 9-10lbs on average per rifle you carry and it adds up plus a tent for a small lightweight tent is 10 lbs irl some more some less so idk what you are thinking is light

vocal nebula
#

Full box

lean marsh
#

One full box, not 5, 10, or even more 25 boxes of 20 rounds (aka a case) averages 15-20 lbs of 308 and anything bigger gets exponentially heavier. Plus it's not just holding weight you are hiking, for miles on end, there is a max you can reasonably carry and function irl and in game. Just carrying a single rifle gets tiring after mile 20 on a long hike or hurt

#

And this isn't something a weight room trains the only way to really carry heavier for longer is just by doing it more and with heavier weights in a natural fashion. I've seen bodybuilders and strongmen struggle carrying around 30lbs of gear weight strength doesn't mean a lot while hiking like that with hunting gear in actual hunting conditions

vocal nebula
#

Bro it doesn't and if you can't carry 15 lbs on your back you are weak

lean marsh
#

I'm done man you have no clue what the real world is like. When you pack out an elk out here in the west at 7-8k ft in elevation for 3.5 miles I'll see who is weak and who doesn't like it because that's what our characters in cotw are doing weight wise every time you go out

I've packed out 120lbs before what do you want me to tell you other than it's not something a weight room can fix. Carry out the hind and front quarter of an elk at the same time through the woods it ain't fun or easy

I’m in pretty good shape, and I can tell you, weight rooms do not help you carry much more weight when you’re at high elevation. I hunt at about 8,000 - 9,000 feet, and hunting is still a grueling process up there, especially packing out an elk leg.

Bro who said anything about irl I'm talking about in the game bro

Considering that in-game you can already carry multiple firearms, basically unlimited amounts of ammunition without changing the weight of it, tents, binoculars, and more without a backpack, I feel like carry capacity isn't much of an issue (especially with the Pack Mule perk)

Which is a videogame which is the whole basis of your flawed argument. If we just use the logic of "it's a game" then why can't we go to the extreme in what is possible in other games

What's going on here?

wooden hemlock
# vocal nebula Okay that is true but have you seen Wyoming that is only like 500ft and there is...

Idk where in Wyoming you’re thinking of but the majority of the state is at 5000 feet in elevation or more. I work hard labor building corals for livestock and I go to the gym after work every other day, and I’m still huffing and puffing when I’m out there hiking. It’s not as easy as just pumping iron to carry more weight.

Either way, idk why we’re having this conversation, there’s literally a skill that lets you carry more weight. It’s called “Pack Mule”

right now in-game I'm carrying:

  • Curman .50 Inline (4 units)
  • Vallgarda .375 (4 units)
  • Nordin 20SA (3.5 units)
  • .243 R.Cuomo (1 unit)
  • ammo for each one (varying between 0.01 and 0.05)
  • Ascent and Odin Scopes (both 0.5 units)
  • FoxPro X360 (3.5 units)
  • Venture 5x30 Rangefinder (1 unit)
Which puts me at 18.6 carry capacity. I could probably even squeeze something else in if I wanted, like an extra handgun or something

I hunt the Sawtooths and Lost River ranges here in Idaho so it gets up there. Some of the peaks are over 12,000 feet. I generally stay below 9,000 if I can but sometimes you get high up there and it’s super tough to even move when you’ve got 40+ pounds of gear on.

But in COTW, there are backpacks with different carrying capacities if you want to carry more items.

The camping tent is practically the wizard’s hat. 🎩 🪄And more, it has instant teleportation. COTW is making your life easier and saving you a lot of time.
