It would be a good development if you could restart a single map, i.e. start the whole story again from the beginning, discover outposts, etc.
I've been playing COTW for several years and would love to experience Spain or Mexico again, for example.

it already exists, when you play a new game it will erase your previous game and you will have to start all over again but with the weapons and the character you have. Unless I don't understand what you mean by that.

I think the OP is asking to new game a certain map without losing your money or level or weapon score etc. You'd keep all your perks and stats etc. I personally would like this as I don't really want to start at the beginning again but would love to play out Colinas one more time. Those missions made the game for me. I would like to have the option to do this if it was possible. I think the majority of players dont play the missions though so this might not be on top of the list for EW.

precisely yes because I have already restarted all the missions of Vhuronga Savannah by creating a new part precisely if your goal is to restart the missions, the story you go to the map you want, then you go back to the menu and go on new game, it will erase all the story you have done and you will have to start all the missions again.

ha I probably hadn't thought of that. If that's the case then yes I'm willing but in my memories no it only affected Vhuronga but it was a long time ago so it turns out they modified it

Resets:
- you lose money
- levels
- perks/skills
- weapons unlocked
- all map and zone discovers
- dog leveling/ownership (must start at zero and rechoose your dog)
You Keep:
- saved harvests
- taxidermied animals in storage and in lodge
If you lose the saved/taxed animals:
Thats a game corruption and unless you made/have a backup of the game file on a USB or something, unfortunately there is nothing to be done. Support cannot fix it, and EW cannot "give back" your game.

I'd love for this honestly. I started a new game bc I wanted to play through stories again, but having to re-unlock all the perks and money turbo-sucks. I'd love to be able to "new game" individual reserves without having to completely restart the game

Restarting certain maps would be nice. It also would help with "old" needzone markers from before pop resets (e.g. i still have drink zone indicators from bears with their night time drinking time... i'd like to reset those maps)
