As one of, if not the most popular game animal in the whole world, every hunting game has White-Tailed deer. In COTW, they were one of the first models made in the whole game. Because of this, they just don't look how good they could look.They don't have agreat texture and color, and they miss some of the details such as the glands on the bucks knee joints, and the antlers just don't look that good. Their head is really blunt, and they look kinda fat. If they were to have a remodel, it could really help with immersion, and I know some of the community, like me, would greatly enjoy it.

Totally agree that a whitetail rework is needed. The whitetail models that we have right now aren't bad, but the face shape could use a little bit of work. The glands on the legs would be a nice little touch as well.

I don't think the body shape is much of an issue, the thickness of a whitetail's body varies a lot based on where they live and what they're eating. Where I hunt, a lot of mature deer are just as chunky-looking as the ones in COTW, so I think the bodies on them are fine right now

The truRACs for them could definitely use a rework too. Some of them have realistic or mostly realistic antlers, but a lot of them have a very awkward shape and configuration that isn't very common irl. Would love to see EW put some work into them in order to get them right.

Id say it not only needs a remodel but an entire rework to how they’re scored. Them only going up to 3 limits how many different unique antler combinations they can have, especially if you compare them to mule deers

My personal bias is for thicker horns with dark coloration, I absolutely love how they look

#

Don't forget tho, a rack doesn't need a ton of points to be insanely cool

I'm from areas where whitetail were the only deer around but they aren't my favorite, I actually love Sitka blacktail
