I just lost a diamond water buffalo due to this new feature. Make it where you can choose to have it on or off

this is not a new feature, you have always been able to exit harvests without picking them up

You still can taxi if you shoot no animal after him, just go to a tent or an outpost and trophy gestion

I don't see what the problem is. If you exit the harvest screen before claiming it, you can still pick the animal up again, provided you have not exited the map.

The feature is designed so that if you accidently pick up someone else's kill in MP, you can back-out and let them, or if you want to allow someone you trust to have a look at yours before you claim it.

@forest shadow why is it a feature on solo? I completely understand it on multi-player but solo makes zero sense.

Hello sgtwolf555,

I’m sorry to hear about your loss of the diamond water buffalo. I completely understand your frustration, especially when it comes to solo play.

While this feature has been in place for some time, I can see how it might not always be useful in single-player mode. The idea behind it is to give players more control, like allowing them to take photos or manage trophies before claiming an animal. However, you can always return to the harvest screen to pick up your animal, as long as you haven’t exited the map yet.

I’ll pass this feedback along to the rest of the team! If you have more ideas to share, please feel free to reach out via our support portal: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Looking forward to your report!

How did you lose the animal by backing out? if you back out of the harvest screen without claiming it, the animal is still laying there and you can click on it again.
