#Please a drink time

I don't think they drink irk
Man that really stinks because they are more impossible then the Tiger I have gotten several tigers but yet to even spot a single snow leopard almost ready to give up completely on the snow leopards
You might be pleasantly surprised if you use the new Dog to track those SNow Lep's ... Just Saying ...
That’s… literally the point
@eternal flint how am I seeing all these people on YouTube getting all these snow leopards and I have yet to even see or spot one I have heard a few calls crawled along the ground countless hours and yet I can't even spot or shot one
🤷♂️ they were literally intended to be hard to hunt as they are IRL.
They’re meant to be incredibly hard to hunt. They have heightened senses, there’s only 8 - 10 on the map. Adding a drink time to them would take away from the fact that their diamonds and rares are exceedingly hard to find, which makes them true trophies.
An animal on Sundarpatan that should have a drink time though is Tahr.
yes honestly tigers having a drink time made it way too easy to hunt them imo. Going from SL to BT was a breeze, got my diamond tiger in 4 hours.
I've killed plenty of snow leopards and even got a diamond one so maybe I can offer some help.
But first, which part of the map are you hunting in?
@polar quarry I do agree with that the tahr need one gotten at least 8 Gold tahr from them walking around
@dull scarab I am going all along the top and the forest where I have seen everyone on YouTube kill them
I mean that doesnt really help me know exactly where you were but they can be found everywhere above the red line, and my personal mostly reliable spot is the area circled by blue.
Also, you can go to forests where you've seen people kill them but the resting zones, feed zones, and walking locations of each snow leopard are randomized.
It's very likely that you could go to every spot from a youtube video and not find 1 snow leopard at any simply because yours were at different spots.
I rarely find them by hearing their calls. I usually stumble across their tracks or, sometimes need zones. Their track length is a bit bigger than tibetan fox or blue sheep but smaller than wild yak. It'll look like big-ish paw prints with huge chunky toes
something like this. They're real snow leopard tracks but the tracks ingame look the same ofcourse. I strat I like to do when scanning for tracks is if I see several tracks going different ways and dont know which way to go, I save time by using my binoculars and zooming in on both trails to look at the footprints and see if it's a snow leopard
and regarding that "mostly reliable spot" I mentioned, I'll still go through snow leopard droughts sometimes. The main thing is that you need to look all around the map where they're able to spawn. Just cuz I have that mostly reliable spot doesnt mean that they wont respawn somewhere totally different and out of that spot
@dull scarab I have been in all above the red line even in your blue area still have yet to spot one. But right now I dare not to try and play until apex connect is running right again so I don't lose it
Also pro tip which I dont remember hearing at all until I actually learned from hunting snow leopards. When they give you a warning call, they will commonly slowly move over to you to investigate the noise. You probably want to reposition if they warn you so you dont accidentally spook them.
Also, use scent eliminator, it's really helpful
Also if you're desperate for a kill, they flee very slowly so you can easily sprint after them for a quick chance at a moving shot. I wouldn't do it on a diamond but if you're just trying to grind them out, it'll work.
@dull scarab oh I figured the sent one didn't work right because I myself haven't seen it work
trust me I've had many moments where I'm looking all above the red line for like 2-3 hours with no snow leopard found. At the end of the day, luck is important. Also, try to look at specific spots where you havent looked before, and at different times of day.
One time I was having a major drought, and I asked for advice and someone told me to look where I hadnt before. At first I was like "psh, I've looked everywhere".
But, then I went out at a different time, and started my search at a different area than I usually do, and clear as day, found tracks to my diamond snow leopard.
I think it works. It's so cheap and lightweight that I always use it, especially when hunting difficult animals like snow leopards.
And to clarify, what it does is make animals not smell you from as far away. So, they'll still be able to smell you like 100 meters away. But, if you're slowly trailing an animal, and especially angle yourself right so you arent completely smacking them with a wall of scent, it works well imo
@dull scarab What time of day has worked best I am usually always trying during afternoon hours
I try to start looking at like 6-12 ish.
If you start early morning at like 6 ish then they should be resting, so, if you happen to spook one, you'll know their rest zone so if you really wanna kill it ASAP, you can just skip the day and ambush it tommorow
Also another tip, when they're moving around nervously or investigating your noise (not when they're fleeing though), they have this crawl that they do that gets the leopard very low to the ground and makes them blend into bushes very easily.
@dull scarab Thanks man I will try and see if I can't break this horrible streak of not seeing or bagging my first one I am waiting for the apex connect to run again so I know I won't lose it if I get one
🫡 np
@dull scarab thanks so much man finally spotted and got my first snow leopard took a while to track him because I missed first shot but kept going and he stopped for a minute and I got him
No problem! Great first kill, a diff 7 with an uncommon fur color.
Having a difficulty 7 somewhere on your map is good to know. The odds are way more in your favor of it upgrading to an 8, and eventually a 9 than if it was a 2 or 3 or something small like that
The cat has to drink at some point. 🙂
Strange I usually see them every 30min to an hr roaming the North.
nah they dont have any drink times so that it's harder to find them. It's unrealistic, yeah. But I dont mind personally
If you fancy realism, you're much better off playing classic than call of the wild
they get their hydration from the moisture in their prey.
There are tonnes of guides on Youtube. Have some patience lol and just track them
I meant it as a joke but okay..
Oh you thumbs upped the post so I thought you were serious lol
Ironically, all my snow leopards sleep right outside my Himal outposts.
In a way yes I would like to see a drink time, if they were to add a drink time it should be limited to maybe 2 or 3 watering holds ( scattered out) I do like a challenge however for those that really aren't the challenge type could use the watering holes.
then this animal is not for you - that's the gist of its introduction all together
How are you so certain that this animal isn't for me,? it was merely a suggestion I liked. Nothing more nothing less.
