I think that EW should add more or random blood splatters after you shoot an animal. Instead of the same vital or non-vital blood splatters, they should make the blood splatters random shapes or at least add more blood splatters to make the game more realistic. Another idea is that they should make the color of the blood splatters different colors depending on what organ you hit. If you hit guts/intestines, the blood splatter would be green or yellow, if you hit the heart the blood splatter would be bright red and so on.

Unfortunately, this would require making a change that benefits the gameplay instead of making a billion more maps and gun packs. But seriously this would be great to have, if you look at woth it has this and it is one of my favorite parts of that game!

Would also be great to see actual impact marks, a nice red spot on the shoulder, when you walk up to an animal

And adding back an improved version of the bloody mark where the projectile hit the animal you shot

I agree, an actual blood trail like irl would make it more immersive tracking. If it bothers some players than could possibly make it an option to choose original or realistic blood trail? I would like a realistic trail to increase immersion. Happy hunting everyone!
