Maybe the waypoint can become increasingly transparent or something as the crosshair approaches it when aiming down sight? Right now it completely blocks the view if placed on the target.
Waypointing animals directly while rangefinding often marks way off in the distance behind them instead of where they actually are. I know I can waypoint them from the map after spotting them, but that also blocks the view of a shot on them.
Every time I set up for an approach and shot, I need to find somewhere to put the waypoint that's the same distance as the animal yet won't block the view of a shot on it.
