Safari Specialist Pack:
Take on your next safari hunt with confidence with these powerful tools at your disposal. A must-have for anyone itching for an expedition against the most dangerous game.

Modernized .45-70 Lever Action Rifle: A modern build of a classic favorite. Fitted with a mounted rail for a wide range of optics and a stained hardwood stock, this rifle won't let you down, whether you're in bear country or pursuing dangerous game through the bush.
Ammo: .45-70 Govt (4-9) Updated: See next message post

.416 Bolt Action Rifle: Dangerous game demands unmatched stopping power, and the .416 does not disappoint. It delivers enough power to bring down even the largest animals, making it an excellent choice to take into the bush. Its heavier recoil requires practice to handle, but it's worth the effort when you need the best of the best.
Ammo: .416 Weatherby (8-9)

Over-Under 9.3x74R Break Action Rifle: The versatility and power of the 9.3x74R cartridge makes it a reliable choice in a variety of settings, whether you're hunting stags and boars in the woods or stalking large and dangerous game in the bush. The featured over-under double barrels provide you with a quick followup shot, should you need it.
Ammo: 9.3x74R (5-9) Updated: See next message post

Dangerous Game 1-5x 30mm Scope: For an unrivaled performance when taking on dangerous game, look no further than the (insert in-game name). Its low zoom, thin frame, and shockproof design make it the best choice when approaching dangerous game in dense foliage, or for defending yourself from bear attacks.

Ammo Changes:
.45-70: A criminally-underpowered round in desperate need of an upgrade, especially when compared to the .577/450 Black Powder round. See #1241002536262172795 message for an excellent analysis of this

9.3x74R: Like the .45-70, this round struggles against class 9 animals. However, in some places, this cartridge is a common choice for taking on dangerous game in place of the .375 H&H Magnum. Improving its capabilities to bring down class 9 animals would be excellent, and it would make the Grelck Drilling Rifle and my proposed Over-Under rifle much nicer to use in places like Vurhonga Savannah, Sundarpatan, etc.

I think .416 could probably be 8-9 given its real life usage on bears and moose (same would apply to .470)

Ah okay, I can update that!

What was the original, 7-9?

glad hamlet
#

I just had it as 9 lol

I’d also like to see a change to the trophy requirements; remove the 2 shot maximum for 7-10’s given most guides have a “shoot em’ till he’s dead policy” but it might be too far in the games lifespan for such a drastic change

#

I think that's possible, we have some animals that don't have a vital organ requirement (all the Class 1s)

I feel like it'd be fitting for the class 9 animals. It's not common for stuff like cape buffaloes and water buffaloes to go down in one shot, and are often shot several times to ensure they go down

even after they go down another round or two go in it lol

Yeah 100%, you can never be too sure with stuff like buffaloes lol

better to put another bullet in its chest than tap its eye when it comes to double checking

Exactly. I'd rather mess up more meat than end up seriously injured or dead

Other option

Browning MKII Safari in a whole host of other options, particularly .338 Winchester Magnum

Here's some more modern ammo for the 9.3x74r Double

C'mon now, a nice over under 9.3x74r would be so gorgeous in game

#

That's what I'm sayin :3

#

i wouldn't be mad if we got a variant of it with a really pretty wooden stock and some gorgeous engravings and such, kinda like this here (Nordin 20SA "Artisan")

#

That's something I miss btw. I wish weapon packs would give us variants of each weapon again
