#Returning to Tradition: Unsporterized Enfield Skin
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
You just flexing it now😭 This would be great though!
You could also add the jungle carbine variant, but hey, any kind of traditional lee Enfield skin/model would be nice!
TO be fair, I;m outrageously happy about owning a rare production variant made in the SSA plant after bankruptcy in 1918
Both would be good; honestly as you said any traditional nonsporter Enfield would be great
Real Enfields please!!!

Totally fair lol
if EW wont let me bayonet charge a buffalo i might aswell delete the game
Gib 1907 pattern bayonet with a 16.5" blade lmao
I still love my sporter mil surps since they represent a part of hunting history, but having a milsurp pack with original configuration guns would be great. The 3 id like to see would be an p-14 enfield .303 brit, k98k 8x57, U.S. model 1898 .30-40 krag.
Yeah, people seem to dog on guys back then who sporterized them but when they did it it was just another rifle of which hundreds of thousands of others existed. Now it's for good reason a sin lmao
old sporters are much better than new ones cause the old timers actually had respect for the guns and didnt hack them apart lmao
I find the amount of effort needed to fully refurnish an enfield as a sporter to be excessive, which is why it's not appealing to me personally.
Definitely, I think doing a sporterized rifle where you keep the original stock and put a synthetic one on is fine, as long as you don't mess with the action and barrel I don't really care.
Same; although I will extend that to the original furniture not being damaged as well, assuming it was in good condition.
My main gripe with sportering enfields, specifically SMLE IIIs, is that the barrel walls were quite thin and dependent on the forend, barrel bands, and band screws to maintain accuracy. They were hand-pressed at the factory and disassembling the rifle improperly, let alone removing the forend pieces that contain those bands, is known to cause severe accuracy problems and potentially barrel warping.
Stop flexing Zach!
Never! 😂
Ok you Winchester 1901 (I think it was you and that joke)
yup lol
As an additional note, it would be very cool to have skins/models with different levels of degradation like seen on the Solokhin/Mosin-Nagant. A well-finished curio with perfect furniture could be balanced out by one with notable battle damage, such as the shrapnel pitting, rock marring, and razorwire gouges seen in these pictures of my own Enfield.
Alternative title: I’m flexing my new enfild
-# I have no idea what you're talking about
lol
bump

Here's an update on the rifle.
Also bump, please give us a nonsportered enfield.
The flexing continues 😄
