Hi guys! I've discovered a potential exploit of sorts that takes advantage of the caplock muzzleloader reload animation and it makes it to where, after you reload once but interrupt the animation at the very end, you can then reload significantly quicker by skipping the animation for each progressive reload. This occurs with each of the caplock muzzleloaders, but I don't believe that's the case for the inline muzzleloader because that's a different reload animation.
Attaching videos because I feel like it's difficult to fully understand by just verbalizing it. There will be three videos, each about a minute long. The first video will be a normal reload animation with out me interrupting it, the second will start with a normal reload animation, but I will interrupt it and initiate the glitch, and the third video will be starting after an interrupted animation and initiation of the glitch just to see how many shots I can get downrange.
The first video is uninterrupted reloading and I can fire around 2 shots per minute.
The second video starts with normal reload that I then interrupt and I can fire around 7 shots per minute.
The third video is only after the initial interruption and I can fire around 11 shots per minute.
In order to interrupt the reload animation, I have to pay attention to two things. Towards the end of the reload animation, the ammo counter showing how many bullets are in the gun changes from 0 to 1 but this happens before the reload animation is finished. The moment it changes, all I have to do is swap to another item in my loadout and then swap back and the bug is initiated. For some reason, this interruption bugs the reload animation into skipping it on the next reload and then you can chain them together by just interrupting the animation again before it is finished, but after the ammo counter changes from 0 to 1. It's a little particular and you have to hit it at the right moment, but I've tested and throughout an entire 3 hour gaming session, I have only had to go through and interrupt the full reload animation a single time. Otherwise, I just interrupt the already bugged reload animation and keep the bug chain going.
While it is certainly nice to speed up the reload animation, I feel like this is a nasty little bug that's is not intended nor should be in the game so I wanted to make you guys aware! If anything I said didn't make sense, I'd be happy to answer any possible questions, anything to help y'all out! :)
