Simply put, it astounds me how weak rifle rounds are in this game. Like, the penetration is astonishingly low. I find myself only ever getting single lung shots on elk for example, when I’m using the .338. That makes zero sense, at any distance up to 500m (if not more if this game had higher render distance) that round should at least get double lung. On anything elk sized or smaller. I would highly recommend redoing the ballistics in this game to make them… accurate to how they perform in real life. Yes, game balance is a thing, but what would you use a .338 for other than long range shots and/or high penetration? Idk, long rant but I just returned to this game after a long while and I’m really confounded by the ballistics.
